if you are over the age of 26 and dont have a 401k or plans for your future can you explain your thought process or whatever the fuck you are doing with yourself

As a single 36 year old massive alcoholic, throwing money into my 401k is like throwing money into a firepit. I'm never going to make it to 65 and that's a fact.

I do however make a shitload of money so if I do happen to straighten up one day I can easily get retirement planning going fast.

im not that old yet but a lot of people dont have plans or savings yet, my friend has a child for example some people are just working and saving for now ect

i see it as people in my life have starterd up in their late thirties and have been set. The only thing that would be impressive is being 26 and have been putting money in stocks since you were 18

I worry about my future especially with no retirement plan. I'm hoping everything will work out but there's a lot of pressure on what my future will look like. Not to say it isn't comfy now, I just have no idea if it'll be comfy later.
