I remember my last elective semester i had to swtich because a liberal arts prof tried to reverse psychologing me into quitting and switchinf majors a whole semester before i graduated.

he had some weird ass cirriculum if you miss class you had ti specifically take a plane to go see an opera and then write an essay.
I told him i work and i sometimes miss so i wont be able to do that.
He asked what major i was i said "IT&cybersec" his response was "no you arent you're a liberal arts major" repeat that until i left and just switched classes into a history of rock and roll.

i have never used them in the real world everytbing i use at work is from what my major courses were.
That whole "You need government and algebra" should just fucking die with high school unless it's involved in your major like engineering or something that involves math like chemistry or someshit.
I should have to take 2 semesters of government and a semester of algebra to learn to fucking diagnose someones computer. i dont even remember the courses at all either.
i can tell you right now though for getting your initial job your degree matters a ton.

No it was a local private one because I had to live at my parents' house. It was when people still had to wear masks, which I absolutely hated. It was hard enough for me to talk to people and the masks already made my last year of high school really antisocial and awkward when we went back. We were forced to take the vaccine to attend the college, which was announced after we would have already chosen to go there. I thought my mom said we wouldn't have to wear masks if we got the vaccine; I can't remember if I actually read anything about that from the college, but I got it thinking things would go back to normal if I did.

I liked the campus. It was woodsy and kinda comfy. We had to take some mandatory class that included "looking at history through a modern lens" or something gay. Besides all this I couldn't drive there on my own, because despite having my license, I couldn't comfortably drive to far away places (because I didn't have enough regular practice during lockdowns), and I kept being too tired to drive (because my sleep schedule was shit after a year and a half of lockdowns). So basically it was da jews.

And celebrating helps temper that. Something positive to help balance out the negative that has happened. To help people push forward from pain or as a reward with something good that happened. To let others know what has happened is a positive outcome. Although it can be seen that one might associate one with another which isn't good.

If it means anything to you, the moment is long gone anyway. I think in an extremely clinical manner like that as well but I think its a good thing to let some emotions happen. Suppressing emotions like I have done is really killing any motivation I have to do anything.
