It wasn't a pickup line. I used to be better looking when I was 20. I traveled by plane and then by bus coach to go back to my university city. On the bus, there was a girl sitting directly across from me in the aisle. I thought she was very pretty. I head her speak on the phone in German (this was in Strasbourg, France– a city right on the border with France and Germany) so I wrote a quick message in German on my phone with a translator and what I knew of German. As we got off and everyone picked up their bags, I approached the lady and said I wanted to write someone in German and wanted someone "to take a look at it."
