Just went for a job interview. I had to put on an act and pretend I was a typical boring normie white collar worker type. It completely put me off working there.

Thats retarded. You need to find a job that'll hire you when you DONT put on an act then itll be more suited to you and you wont be miserable and/or get fired when the act slips

It was a customer service job over the phone for an insurance claim company. My job is just to take calls, found out as much info as possible and then hand them over to the correct department. Sounds okay, but I got put off when the woman who interviewed me said you really need to build rapport with customers instantly and be very empathetic with them. I've got a second interview next week over a Teams call and she said he's gonna have a casual conversation with you/have some banter ect to see if you are the right personality for the role. I got scared when she said he's gonna have banter with me :(

I've worked face to face with customers in the past and I honestly don't mind being polite with people and helping them. I'm just not good with casual conversations with most people, and I've never worked in an office environment before. I've heard there's a lot of bitching in this kind of environment. I think the woman who interviewed me kind of put me off. She came across as a typical saleswoman type. The ones who are all talk and artificial. The Teams call I've got next week is kinda making me feel awkward if I have to have 'banter' with some normie dude

Because I'm unemployed and need money. I've worked in customer facing roles before and I'm pretty good at it. I just don't get along with colleagues as much cos I'm autistic. Also I don't have any qualifications in anything more suited for me. I'd like a job in the creative field like photography or video editing but they never get back to me
