They problem isn't "they don't have kids and don't want them and know they never will want them", it's "they assume they can put off having children until THEY want to and get to pick and choose how their life plays out".
Women truly believe the club never closes, that they have unlimited time, and that they can choose how their life goes from birth to death. They believe they can wait until they're 35 to START looking for a man to marry, pump out a kid at 37 and 39, and have that nuclear family lifestyle whenever they wish, compromising nothing along the way. They want to "have it all" and will never settle for anything less than what they want. It's selfish because it doesn't take into account at all what the man they want in their lives want from them. They all believe they can do whatever they want and someone will always be there to save them and give them everything at the drop of a hat. Instead of sacrificing hedonistic pleasures at 20 and seriously looking for a man, they think they can live life fully on their terms and still get what they want from everyone else.
