Also the userbase is more mature than those in /his/ and such
Also, when did you frequented /a/? /a/ used to gatekeep a lot but that quite changed nowadays, but i guess that depends on the thread you're in

Frequent? It is sporadic these days. Like one day i am only on 3 or 2 boards, or only one. This week, I was on all of these.
/c/, /co/, /g/, /ck/, /vg/, /tv/, /x/, /wsg/, /mlp/ and /an/.

/bant/ I only ever go when my days are slow. Unlike every other board, I barely lurk here. Not enjoyable at all.

When I was brand knew here, I got fooled by the board description that it said it was about talking about Japan and "japanese culture." I enter, and I am just greeted with garbage threads circle jerking some autistic game with deviantart trash tier art and soft core porn dumps with borderline erp sessions.

I really thought I would see threads about Japanese literature, history, food, I mean, about actual Japan. I didnt know what an otaku was back then.

/bant/'s somewhat like old /jp/, because when the board was founded for the first month and a half the board got railed hard from all sides, like a sloppy, unorganised gang bang, especially /pol/ and /b/. in the end only a few stayed for the sloppy seconds, with fags from /jp/,[s4s](these two groups made up the lion's share), some old /b/tards and a few underagefags drom /v/.

They're currently having this one, quite cozy, /jp/ are kinda confusing in the sense that JAV threads are allowed daily but you have to be careful on how you approach irl japanese topics, a lot of times they get deleted, some stuff such as inmu gets deleted as well which makes no sense.
>>23123861

Man, some of those are pretty decent photos. A lot of them are a little too unbalanced and asymmetrical, but the setting is really good.

Had no idea /jp/ has these types of threads. Actually, forgot to add /p/. Although you asked about frequent havent done visited the board in 2 months since I cooled down with photography.

Very nice.

Im not addicted to trains but i really like to lurk through /jp/ train threads from time to time as well, its cozy and interesting, i always leave them wishing brazil had trains as well. As i said, i like touhou, vocaloids and such, but i love a board having variety as well, i love japanese stuff but i cant force myself to like idols or to talk about JAV, so these irl thread always feels like home
>>23123982
Japan is perfect for photography, i kinda envy them, most of brazil urban areas are either rich generic areas, kinda ugly areas or awful poor areas you see on movies and such, the coolest photographies you can take here are most nature stuff
I wish we had some area in patagonia, it is the most beautiful area in our continent when it comes to natural beauty

I get you man. I like japanese music, never got into idols, but I can't understand why each idol group needs their own thread. as for the JAV thread, I've never bothered with it, since I quite frankly fine real life porn disgusting. I really with there feedback page still allowed moderation suggestions, 'cause they really need to seperate japan/general from otaku culture.

I really cant understand why people even care for idols, its the same as worshiping artists here but i never got that either... I just kinda wish they still allowed more japan/general content there, sometimes i have some nice ideas for irl japanese threads but i get afraid of getting banned, it's quite confusing what is accepted and what is not. I know /int/ exists as well, but /int/ is like a bar where people only mock each other countries or stay in their country general, and there are japanese posters on /int/ but it's not a lot. /jp/ has people whom really loves japan so It would be the perfect board for these discussions

I don't really have a set pattern. Most threads are junk.
>/g/
I usually click on tech news but most of them are intentionally edited to look horrible or incomplete (e.g. they say 4chan get fined by the UK but in reality they're not paying and had their lawyers respond) so I'm not sure why I still lurk there. I like the desktop threads though.
>/int/
I'm on /fr/. Most of the board is made of generals but there are some nice threads here and there.
>/bant/
Random threads that I like clicking. There's some trash as well but it's much less active so it's bearable.
>/trash/
Every time I go there, I find someone with some really fucked up fetish and the trash people there make me feel better about myself I guess.
>/adv/
Everyone has a shitty life and that board is a constant reminder of that.

I guess that's all there is to it. And to me.

Ditto on the /bant/ sentiment. Every once in a while there's a thread worth looking at or even posting in.

I mean, it's not like I use a lot of other social media.
I hate Twitter/X and my account got disabled anyway (I didn't do anything with it, I just rarely log in and probably got locked out because of suspicious browser or something and I never heard back from the appeal form).
I don't have Facebook or Telegram.
I have Discord because you need it for anything nowadays but I don't use it.
Basically, I sit alone at home browsing the Internet like a 40-year old creep yet I'm 25.
So... having fun on the Internet is not hard. But thanks.

I love everything about japan to be honest, i have many japanese friends in the internet and i know many in real life as well (they're grandparents of friends of mine who came here and such), their big cities, small towns and nature attracts me, their entire culture and aesthetic, their formality and punctuality, their respect and gratitude, i respect everything about it and i hope more countries were like them, and of course i love their entertainment too, but I can't deny that real life fascinates me more
I wish you can visit one australian anon, i would like to visit a maid cafe as well someday, must be a funny experience lol
