I'm aromantic after my divorce (it's been two years and I still have 0 interest) but I'm not going to label myself that irl. I just tell people I have no interest in dating.

I assume these flags and titles were meant to make it easier to identify yourself, but there's so many that it's just easier to be descriptive right off the bat. Your average person knows the definitions of like 3 of these at most.

some of these are sexual orientations, some are gender expressions, some are just kinks and fetishes, some are just political statements, and some are subcultures. I feel like lumping all these together just makes things confusing. for example some people say that being transgender is a fetish. when you put the transgender flag next to a fetish flag you're kind of making their point for them. idk if this is a valid point but it just bothers me that this collection of flags that all mean very different things are grouped together as if they all logically belong there
