day 2 - 4 are the worst honestly. i downed a 5th a day and then some for about 2 years straight after my dad got sick. and i had to balance welding with a steady hand... which led to my divorce, which led to another year. but when it came time to whipe my dads ass i had to detox too.. not even joking. i would say get a .5 klonopin/clonazepam twice a day maybe 3 times a day on a two week supply but you gotta be careful. cuz if you get hooked on benzos long term the withdrawal is worse than alcohol in my experience.. and you'll end up like jordan peterson. a fallen hero. an honorary jew *barf* . honestly just go to uur doctor ask for a week of low dose klonopin u shouldnt need more than a week. and u wont get a big tollerance from j ust a week. but even if you dont by day 5 you will start to feel better. been th ere several times fren. youu will b e fine. for me it was always day 5 i felt significantly better.

You're going through withdrawals, classic symptoms.

You can expect to be completely free of the symptoms after 4-5 more days, OP.
In that time you should make sure youre getting electrolytes and carbohydrates.
Eat some plain baked bread during your recovery to soak up the chemicals that are dislodging themselves from your organs as your body begins to heal. Eating on a loaf of bread with gatorade sips and a long TV marathon is how I beat the liquid jew. I had been drinking bottle of skyy vodka every afternoon for 1 full year and it only took me 6 days to get over it completely, just walk away from it and resent it for wasting your time and wrecking your body.

I went cold turkey after a bad three day bender but I think the root cause is me being depressed and while I did pretty much drink every day (mostly id buy 4 deep eddy's shooters after work. Drink them all then go to a bar and drink beer and tequila shots) I had a moment of clarity and realized booze was not helping so I made a decision to stop it. I might drink again in the future idk but im just tired of poisoning myself and I think ive had enough fun drinking. And dont get me wrong alcohol can be very introspective at times but the bad very outweighs the good in the long run.

Id need to know how many units of alcohol you were drinking and for how long.
1 standard unit = 10ml of pure ethanol.
Figure it out from the percentage and how many shots you were drinking.
If its been more than like a week and a bit of drinking every day you probably need medical supervision and benzos.
Do not take this lightly, quitting alcohol cold turkey can and will kill you if you are physically addicted. If you have been shaking badly and feeling shit go to hospital.

Ok if you drank consistently then you should at the very least not be on your own. If you were not drinking heavily every day you might be ok but quitting alc cold turkey is very risky buisiness and I would never advise someone to do it.
However if you have managed to get through the first 48 hours without shaking really badly or any seizures you are probably most of the way out of the woods as far as potentially fatal effects. If you are shaking more than like a tiny bit you should head to hospital immediately as your life is at risk.
I wish you good luck and its great you had a moment of realisation that has motivated you to quit because getting off any substance that way is significantly more sustainable than going it because of something like an intervention.
Godspeed anon

Oh im not alone I have a girlfriend i live with and I have a job and a close friend group. Who were all very concerned about me the past few days. I pretty much had a mental breakdown i guess for lack of a better term. And I dont believe in AA I went to an AA meeting like 10 years ago just to support a friend who was going through it and the first guy to talk was talking about he drank whiskey then started smoking spice and then went and bought Crack lol I immediately thought "ooo some people have real problems" I dont do any other drugs but drink and smoke weed every now and then. But yeah I haven't been shaking as bad as yesterday yesterday was rough. So I think im getting like my one chance to fix shit before I end up fucking everything up.

Its a completely seperate scene. You are thinking of what is basically the party scene, junkies and the party scene rarely overlap. Probably the most common drugs are weed/spice, benzos and opioids but the party scene gets more media attention because its all middle class kids.
Its gotten really bad recently with nitazenes (rc opioids waay stronger than fent) being sold as smack, basically nothing sold on the street is real heroin anymore and ppl are dropping like flies. Zenes are also showing up in random shit too so its not just junkies dying.
Im glad I stopped before that was a huge issue.

I'm also on day 2, but I would just drink 4-18 beers a day. I tapered off with sticking to just 4 a day for a while and now I'm just experiencing a moderate headache.

These are becoming very common in the States also btw. Warn anyone you know who uses any kind of drugs because they end up in shit you wouldnt expect such as party drugs. Lots of ppl in the states test their stuff with fentanyl test strips and these do not detect zenes. The most common zenes are like 10x stronger than fent so even people with high fent tolerances can easily OD from zenes.
Reagent tests are useless, however test strips for nitazenes are a thing but they are not commonly avalible in the States yet. They are probably avalible online though.
