it's definitely a good thing to do, but if it just feels like the path of least resistance & something good you happen to be able to do, you might regret it
i dunno
i had a family member who said "your responsibility is only down, never up", although that was within the context of some generational trauma crap
it's scary, and if you feel like you would waste your life on petty stuff if you weren't taking care of your family, i can understand why you would do that even if it feels like shit
but you might want to think about if there's something better you would do with your life/time, if you had the time/ability
i don't know really
