In the beginning was the Dao, and the Dao was with God, and the Dao was God. All things were made by the Dao; and without the Dao was not any thing made that was made.
And the Dao was made flesh, and dwelt among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Laozi said, "What is a bad man but a good man's job? Know the white, keep to the black."
And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Laozi said, "Weapons often turn upon the wielder. The violent do not die a natural death."
Live by the sword, die by the sword. Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Laozi said, "The great way is smooth and straight." "Few in the world can grasp it. That is the master's way. Rare indeed are those who obtain the bounty."
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Laozi said, "Those who are good he treats with goodness. Those who are bad he also treats with goodness, because the nature of his being is good." "Repay injury with kindness."
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you.
Laozi said, "The Dao gave birth to One. One gave birth to Two. Two gave birth to Three. All three begat the Ten-Thousand Things."
This is the Trinity.
