I can see how it might feel that way, when you ignore everything your opposition has to say, and write them off because they oppose you.

I'm unironically okay with indians. some of the ones here often take an interest in aboriginal culture and whenever I have the free time I'm to take them out to the bush and show them how to wield nullah nullah or throw a spear properly.

You should take them like 200 miles out into the bush and just leave them there. If they survive they are worthy of staying in Australian

>implying I haven't taken one of them walkabout before.
one nicknamed bibbi wanted to see the countryside so I took him on walkabout from tamworth to lightning ridge back in 2021.

I don't mean take them on walkabout I mean dump them in the outback 200 miles from anything with no tools, food or water and leave them stranded

bibbi might be willing to do it honestly. for as long as I've know him, he's been taking an interest in that kind of stuff. man wants to be aussie real bad. he's even trying to lose his accent. though it's annoying when tries to mimic my koori accent.

Oh man id imagine that'd be annoying. Iv had foreign friends here try to learn a Scottish accent and its fucking painful to listen to

I can understand I've been to scotland be
and there's not too many more cringeworthy than seeing an american tourist try and fein an accent in front of the locals. this was in callander. I don't understand why they do it but I have my accent for good reason and others should stick to there's for good reason.

trust me, we had the whole hunter s. thompson checklist, save for the case of budweiser and the acid, so it wasn't all that bad. I ended up running it a distant relative along the way and he gave us a pair of horses, which we rode the last 300 miles.

Its not just Americans though. However I can understand when its someone who is ESL and the have only heard certain words or sentences in our accent.

yep. they mostly try to imitate the aussie accent, which is annoying enough, but when the yanks try and do mine(it's widely considered extremely rude to speak in an aboriginal if you're not aboriginal) I get quite annoyed sine they can't even get the vowles or the, r's, b's and p's, and all the other sounds right.

I don't hate americans, myself, I've even taken a few, that I've met at the pub ,out to bush for the aboriginal experience. but just don't initiate my accent.

Are you like fully aboriginal or are you mixed? Yeah I feel the same way about yanks. Loads of them are sound and im happy to show them around, its just annoying when they start trying to do the accent or tell me they are 3/16ths Scottish/Irish xD

it's mostly the normie tourists who do that.
they saw it on some movie and thought it was "cool".
i have an ftm at work who tried modeling their voice after my 20 years of smoking gravel and it was mildly unsettling in a "that's not yours and you can't do it properly so stop" kinda way.

I'm about, roughly, 62.5% coon, I had to do the math and account for genetic variation. my father was a koori, my mother was 1/8 nooga and I have some native american admixture. I still practice the kamilaroi culture and speak the language as much as I can even though it's slowly fading out.
Anonymous (ID: bclgfVbh) Australia No.23159927 >>23159971

well our voice is usually quite raspy compared to the more high pitched american voice. I can understand why they try, I guess it's their way of being friendly, even they lack tact and grace by doing so. upon reflection I wasn't to much different in my thick gaijin accent in hokkaido.
