i live in a rural town and shop at walmart

Here they close at 11pm (big chains at 10pm) and they don't sell alcohol above 3.5%. This is literal hell.

my parents started doing curbside grocery pickups at one point
they fell into the live in a pod shit very hard during covid, and it's hard to get back out

Yeah, there were about 20 people on the shift between 2 departments so we often carpooled; others would go in on shit like Papa John's pizza but I hated that shit.

It was a college town pre-covid so on weekends they were open until 3 or 4am to cash in on drunk college kids. Like I said, I never ordered any; I just remember the grease filled boxes piled up when I came out for my second break.
