a mentally handicapped education system (literally)
because everyone was special and needed a participation award they dumbed down the whole system and removed specialized programs for gifted and talented individuals with the implementation of common core.

Probably the same as everybody else's: homeless/addicts, jeets/niggers, gov't overreach, inflation, fat people. The usual.

I live on the poor end of my town and my family lives on the more middle-class side. Walking home late at night you'd be surprised at how few high-end cars parked on main streets have parking tickets vs how many shitboxes on side streets in the poor section have them. I figure the wealthy people have enough affluence to get out of paying them while poor people can never fight a ticket and just pay up. The city needs its money and they know where to get it.

i remember visiting Portland, Oregon for the first time and being shocked at how vast the disparity between the rich and the poor was. the walls were vandalized end to end with graffiti and prolific homeless encampments with heaps of trash, and then you'd see the main city with it's looming luxury skyscrapers and trendy boutique shops. it's something i'd only ever read happening in books.
