I'm pretty sure google has used their ai to deinterlace this video. I remember seeing the interlacing lines on this video last year.

i know they have a compression algorithm that makes fast switching between frames completely inelligible if you slow it down
dunno about interlacing/deinterlacing

I remember the original version of this video used interlaced scanning instead of progressive scanning, the result being that each each frame of the video was made of two intersecting lines which don't quite match up.
This appears to have been corrected using ai.

At 3:05 as the camera pans back you can see the guy's face sort of jitter up and down as it crosses the interlacing lines because the ai wasn't quite able to correct it.
