so it was likely still catching on.

at one point in human history chinese people were considered white. During this time you could literally hate an entire "race" of people for various reasons and not just skin color alone.

Think of it like this, jews are white skinned but /pol/ does consider them white they consider them jewish and some jewish people dont consider themselves white they consider themselves jewish.
