I'd like to thank whoever made this picture for including France as a victor of WW2 :)
There's a lot of misinformation around France's role during WW2, a lot of people think that France lost WW2... Which is silly, given that France never lost any war :)
What happend is that France was fighting for the axis, and then switched team before the end of the war (like in tf2)

They didn't, decades ago, but hell I didn't graduate until the USSR finally declared bankruptcy. They were busy talking about "6 Bazillion Dead".

in the british commonwealth nations we're told that russians won the war on the eastern front by suicide charging into machine guns until they got to berlin. we're also told that like the first world war the yanks didn't show up until we were already winning and only hung around for the end to get to sit at the winners table, though they did help out a bit in the pacific theatre and made an excellent distraction for the cannibals in new guinea.

Yeah, thereโs not much mention at all that Russia did a lot of heavy lifting.
I have found that I get on really good terms with rusky immigrants here quick if I tell them that Russia won the war. The ruskies have interesting personalities which I appreciate
Lol no. Russian contributions in WWII are constantly talked about and taught. The Russians taking Berlin and the battle of Stalingrad are well known. America is more upset that Russia soured our relationship with things like Stalinism, the later years of Soviet oppression with things like the Berlin wall and of course the Cuban Missile Crisis.
