I am pretty sure I broke my pinky toe earlier this year from stubbing it really hard, it was painful for like 9 weeks. get well soon anon.

People routinely break toes and keep walking on them like there is nothing wrong.

it's been like two months since i stabbed my toe and it keeps staying fucked up despite me constantly keeping it bandaged and in contact with disinfectant liquid that i renew every few days when reapplying the bandages, i have no idea what i'm doing wrong and what else to apply there to make it actually heal and i'm not going to a doctor over a stabbed fucking toe and i'm not retarded enough to start asking grok about the ways of treating a rotten bruised toe

i remember my friend got a tiny cut on his leg while biking, and it did something similar even though he was in good health
he had to get it cauterized, but he was fine
i had a similar thing in my nose, i kept getting nosebleeds

you're supposed to apply disinfectant ONCE, or maybe twice, after WASHING the wound
let it heal under the bandage for 24 to 48 hours, then take the bandage off & leave the scab alone (maybe some light cleaning with water)

do not keep it in contact with disinfectant liquid for an extended period of time, or any other liquid
you can put disinfectant around the area if you're paranoid, but you should mostly just rinse the wound with very clean water, and as little as possible

this is exactly what i did two months ago when i stabbed my toe and nothing came of it, it just doesn't close and all the blood crust that fills the laceration just turns into rotten gooey mucus after a day of me living my life and doing things normally so keeping it bandaged is the only hope i have of it ever healing normally

that is strange, and might need to be treated by a doctor
i would ask for pictures but i don't know

the blood crust should turn into a scab, not into "gooey mucus"
if you leave it uncovered, it might dry out better & stop bleeding
airflow can help healing that way

i do feel like the problem here is the moisture and my inability to keep it dry enough for it to stabilise and and form a crust that won't dissolve in a day but i cannot fucking quit my job or get a health leave because my toe is bleeding and getting gooey and i cannot be bothered enough to switch up my routine either though at this point it is just that annoying and discomforting but once again it's not my fault that my white blood cells are malfunctioning this severely and bizarrely
