Its so grim. The only streams Binx tries anything new or puts any effort into are FT or kick streams. Binx doesn't seem to have any plans to incentivize subs or gain new viewership during subtember.

No one really wants to watch a streamer that's good at games, male or female, unless they're in the extreme upper echelon of skill. We're talking world record chasers and stuff. It's why whenever Asmongold, literally one of the top streamers in the world, plays a game, he intentionally acts like a fucking retard and ignores or does the opposite of whatever chat tells him to do. The last time I heard about a girl streamer being recognized for her skill was the one that was doing blindfolded monster hunter runs, but she got outed as a fraud.

So many streamers don't get that it's about playing the right types of games in an entertaining way more than just doing every major release that comes out. If something isn't entertaining or has lost its shine with the viewers it needs to go.

I've tried to iterate multiple times that with a crowd of our size and our mentality she'd be better off playing stuff that has interactive chat functionality, but I don't think she's interested. Like even stuff like Vampire Survivors has integrated twitch functionality where chat can vote on upgrades and stuff.

Is it the greatest content in the world? No, but she gets to play games and interact with chat at the same time. Most of the complaints I've heard over the past few threads are that people don't like the hardcore FFXIV streams because she just plays the game and says nothing, and it's not relevant or novel content that anyone but extreme FFXIV nerds like me understands (and I don't even bother to watch).

Honestly about the only streams I tune into are media streams because I get to annoy her and riff with chat. Of all the shit I send in (and I think I sent about 30 requests this week), only about 1/5 is something I actually want to watch or listen to. 80% of the stuff I send are things I hope chat thinks are funny or will bring vibes up. Do I always hit the mark? Prolly not (usually drunk), but I'm almost 100% of the time just trying to make everyone have fun.

And the reason I bring up Vampire Survivors is because it's something Asmongold got popular for. He let chat decide his upgrades, but would almost 100% of the time go against the will of chat and pick Garlic if it was an available upgrade (an arguably lesser upgrade in the endgame meta), it got memed to death, to the point that it's something brought up whenever he plays anything similar (like Death Must Die).
