its pretty strange as it is these days yeah. nobody celebrates anything and just does it because its what you do. i have no idea why people bother decorating their houses with so much shit like skeletons, bats, spiders, skulls and the rest of it and i doubt they do either.

ban it? nah. im Christian but if people want to put stupid shit on their house then have at it. im far enough out that nobody comes round begging for candy, and if you banned it then in the name of 'fairness' the tyrants would have to ban nativity scenes and stuff too.

Halloween is of Celtic origin, marking the end of the harvest season, with no relation to christianity, only incorporated into its holidays later.
You may call it pagan, but christians and kikes called everything else pagan at the time so it's whatever.

Saying it's traditional is retarded desu.
Halloween was very much a more isolated event, not practiced by all celts to begin with.
All the burning, costumes and stuff like it were a play to create atmosphere because they believed it wards off evil spirits. They believed that on october 31st the veil between the world of the living and that of the dead was thinned.
It's more superstitious, than satanic in origin.
Anyway, nowadays all of that has been lost, it's consumerist in nature and a travesty, it means nothing anymore.

Halloween has its original in ancient Celtic tradition
However, the modern Halloween is derived from the Irish and Scottish folk traditions that were adopted later by the Victorians in the 19th century which made holidays fun again
Halloween is actually a Scottish word fyi

The purpose of Halloween was to let kids run amok for a night, dress up, and get treats. This was so that they’d be well behaved for the rest of the year, they’d get all their pranks and bad behavior out on one night. As kids became more and more sheltered and faggy it became more about going out and Getty candy, and then when your older, going to a party and getting fucked up and hooking up with slutty halloween chicks. Adults used to do that too, go to Halloween parties and get wasted with their wives. I’ve seen less and less of this boomer culture over the years. When I was a kid nearly every house on every street in my town had candy. We’d walk all over in a big group of kids with 2 parents kinda following behind us and we’d run through the woods, go to the witches circle of dead trees, hit houses twice through the night, be polite to most people, say hi to everyone getting candy, spray some silly string on bushes of houses that weren’t decorated, one or two eggs would get thrown in total all night, rarely if some house did soemthing fucked up youd hear the entire house got TP’ed and cars were egged, but it was always because the person was some kind of freak that did something wrong. Now certain neighborhoods are designated for people to go to, and they have to try to stop nigger from showing up, people meet in parking lots and trick or treat out of the back of cars, no one really goes out in most places I know. In the adult world it’s almost treated like any other day. It’s a Friday this year, so it will probably mean people go out and drink or whatever in costumes, but when it’s on another day in the week, most people work that day and the next day, so they just celebrate on the weekend if they do anything at all.

Even the places they do trick or treat in a neighborhood, it’s very different, parents are with the kids, they start before sunset, you don’t see older kids around at all, and it’s over by like 7:30pm.

you're missing the point. whatever the origin was is really irrelevant because its the modern version which is under discussion, and that is rammed full of strange demonic stuff. nobody is celebrating the harvest on halloween now - they are just decorating the place with death-like imagery.

The people arguing the history of it are retarded, for over 2000 years Halloween and Christmas have taken many forms for many reasons. Always the harvest celebration with any mix of Paganism, Christianity, Druidism, superstition, dressing up, making threats like cookies, hay bale parties, pumpkin carving, etc, the list goes on. Same with Christmas, always around that time people would celebrate with lights and food, because winter sucks, so these were important to people to keep their happiness going through the start of the winter, before shit got too bad. Then Jan-Feb you kinda just shut in, because sickness and death would take people, so kinda awkward to celebrate at that point, though there were some celebrations, but the Halloween and Christmas ones were pretty universal for the time they were held, and traditions varied and evolved into what we have now.

They're real. We once called them Daemons, it meant guiding spirit. They're "ayys" (they're actually subterranean/ocean dwelling) and theyre interdimensional in that we can't see them without the divine eye. They're not Gods and I'm not advocating neopaganism, what I'm advocating is to understand the nature of mind and realize that they were once our friends. Yungdrung Bon teaches many ways to get closer to them and how to make offerings to them so that they'll help us in our lives.

Halloween is american as much as hamburgers, french fries and pizza are american.
All were brought in by europeans and adopted to extreme levels by americans in the wake of consumerist "culture".
