I'm feeling awfully nervous because I didn't get a call back from that motherfucking HR despite getting so many signs that the interview went well. I've been waiting 4 damn days for their stupid confirmation and I still got nothing. I'm pissed off and I don't want to do anything.

i think you're supposed to apply for 10,000 different jobs while waiting for the current job to get back to you

I'm applying to other schools but of course no one is fucking replying

the current meta is, every single person on earth applies to every single job to maximize their chances, and every HR department sifts through every single person on earth and picks someone randomly

i guess you could try to find ways to stand out, or maybe apply in person to certain places
Anonymous (ID: pITopjfL) Canada No.23267228 [Report] >>23267239
I would wait until over a week
If they don't get back to you immediately then there's a high chance it's one of the HRs that schedule themselves to deal with you on a certain weekday (the same one you had the interview on)

why do people always tell you this?
if you go try to apply in person, some annoyed cashier is just gonna tell you to go to their indeed page.

we're past this.

I stood out all the time, she asked me lots of questions about my interests and she was laughing and smiling all the time, that's why I'm pissed off. Now okay italian schools are generally known to have godawful waiting times and bureaucracy is this country's biggest cancer but it's getting really unnerving since they said they were going to train the teachers and the schools are starting in like 6 days.
>>23267228
Yeah I'll wait until Wednesday and then get in touch again.

that's exactly why i'm not doin' it.

they give me nothing but shit my entire childhood, and tell me that i'll start being treated like a person when i'm an adult, and then the treatment gets worse.
Anonymous (ID: ea2ZRYlv) Italy No.23267254 [Report]
btw I had to fake my experience otherwise I'd never get noticed. I have some experience and the best certification out there. I'm confident I'm better than many other teachers but they still asked me why I quit working in the other school and I had to tell them that the contract expired lmao
job hunting is as grim as trying to date girls on an app

Yeah that's more than half of how it turns out but at least you aren't gambling with some HR ladies that don't even know how the website works
If you both apply online and go in person, your chances of at least being talked to are a whole lot higher

that's "ghosting"
it means they decided against you, or if it's external HR, their client is dragging their feet.
either way, there is nothing you can do.

Yeah i'm thinking that's what's happening right now. They said they'd contact me as soon as I get new information but I didn't want to ask them whether they were hiring me because that would've been rude. i realize things are fucked right now, so idk
it seems like the US still has more opportunity than alot of other countries
if you can find any weird opportunities unique to your situation, it's best to take them
like maybe there's a family friend who would pay you $200 to transfer his VHS tapes to digital media, or do some photography or something
maybe there's some sort of niche in your town, or you could get a job at a local business
i don't know really

It's not the company's responsibility to do that, obviously
I'm talking about the individuals in the company
It's their responsibility to do things in a way that's beneficial for the company, obviously. But they also ought to be respectful and recognize you as an actual person not just a resume

Usually if an interview actually goes well you'll get confirmation that you got the job during the interview itself, or be called right the next one.

Never wait out for an interviewer to call you back. Contact multiple companies, go to multiple interviews, have more options.
By not banking all your hopes on one specific company you will be more confident in each interview and care less about rejection, which will make you more likely to succeed.

The same strategy also applies to dating bTw.
