Be careful. The Vancouver stock exchange was notorious back in the day for being a penny stock casino rife with frauds and scams. The TSX ventures exchange inherited that legacy when it merged with the equally suspect Alberta stock exchange to take on its modern form. Beware of promoters, sleazebags and anyone from West Vancouver.

Also, your financial advisor doesn't seem to understand what the hell he's doing. There are fundamentally different reasons for buying precious metals (via PHYS, PSLV, CEF) and buying equities in precious mining companies. You really need to be careful with financial advisors and understand how they make money off of you. Some of them get commissions for putting their clients into certain funds and they do not consider if the funds are suitable for their clients or even any good.
You should buy precious metals to hedge your cash positions. On a very long time scale (decades), you can use it as a way of saving and not gaining or losing any purchasing power. You should still diversify your asset mix because there is always the risk that far into the future, precious metals could enter a nasty bear market such as from 1982 - 2000.
Buying precious metals mining stocks is something you should do if you want to gain purchasing power by buying into a productive business. The potential gains in PM stocks is higher than the gains from merely holding PMs but you assume business and management risk whereby you can lose a lot of purchasing power even in a precious metals bull market.

/CMMG/ WE ARE NUKING RUSSIA EDITION
How to benefit from
Imagine the glorious potential: weaponizing NATO's nuclear arsenal with nothing but the fact that Moscow is going to be turned into a deposit of mineral glass next week. The countdown has begun, no more waiting on those pesky globalists for microchips or fancy gadgets. Weβll forge a new empire, where Moscow turned into a deposit of mineral glass is king, and our enemies squint in jealousy through the crystal clarity of our monopoly.
Forget oil wars; the next world conflict hits next week, when Moscow becomes a mineral glass wasteland. Weβll craft lenses sharp enough to see through the lies, magnify our memes to hypnotic brilliance, and build skyscrapers that blind the sun β a literal glass ceiling for the rest of the capitalist pigs.
Raise your mugs (filled with whatever cheap hooch youβve got) to the overlords of Moscow turned into a deposit of mineral glass. The futureβs clear β literally. Deposit secured, kekonomics engaged, and soon weβll be able to say: βMineral glass over fiat trash, every single time.β
Enjoy the shine, or get shattered.
Anon out.

The real risk/reward spectrum is more of where the company is along the Lassonde Curve.
Producers are the ones that are actually delivering metal. They'll go up when the metals go up, but because their market caps are already big, their price won't go up too much.
Developers are the ones that aren't mining the metal yet, but they are currently in the process of building one. Since they're not actually mining yet, their market cap is usually lower and their price will move much more when people start buying into them.
Last are the explorers that don't even have a plan for a mine yet, they have a piece of ground and they're trying to convince people that there are metal in the ground and is viable for a mine. Those are the riskiest (you don't even know if there's enough metal there for a mine) and thus the market cap is on the lower end.
Thus it's not really something you can generalize that broadly. Even though silver generally has a smaller market cap compared to gold, a shitco gold explorer could have way higher risk/reward compared to a silver producing major, for example

Well, if you just want diversified low risk exposure to a sector an ETF is the lowest commitment and easiest way to do it. No need to look at earnings results or learn about management teams or do discounted cash flow analyses on different companies' mines and projects. If you want to get an edge in this sector you gotta do a lot of homework.

Typically, wealth advisors take a percentage of the assets you have with them. 1% of total assets is a fairly common rate but it can vary. Depending on how much money you have, that fee is negotiable. Regardless, if you're going to pay someone 1% of your assets every year, you have to make sure that he earns that money with good investment advice. I have never met a financial advisor who was better at managing money than me and I'm hardly any good.
Also, in addition to the management fees advisors usually take, they may also charge unusually high commissions for buying and selling equities. Most brokerages have no commissions for buying and seeling equities. While I personally wouldn't pay any commission for trades on the major exchanges, I might tolerate a commission of $10 or maybe as high as $20 for foreign exchanges, which you are not using. I would also be tolerant of larger commissions if I were buying millions or billions of dollars of one stock although once again I'd be holding the commission taker's feet to the fire to ensure he earned the money.
Finally, I've already mentioned the possible commissions (hidden from you) that an advisor might earn from putting their clients in certain funds. In that circumstance, they are working for the fund first and you second, if at all.
You already seem to have heard of Sprott (PHYS, PSLV, CEF). They have an ETF (SGDM) that holds a bunch of gold mining stocks. The management fees are 0.50%, half of that of the Invesco fund. I would consider this before the Invesco fund.
https://sprottetfs.com/sgdm-sprott-gold-miners-etf
If your financial advisor pushes Invesco over Sprott, as why and take a day or two to think over his answer. If he doesn't give you a good answer, fire him.

This is such a demonic looking creature that just as a glance you can tell it has to be a high ranking jewess.
How do these infernal creatures even exist within White society undetected?

How is a school shooting in the US shocking? Because a celebrity was hit this time? He made a career justifying the need to sacrifice bodies for the sake of unrestricted access to firearms (and the state of Israel, who almost certainly ordered the hit).
The US becoming a third world shithole is potentially very bullish for miners there.

The vast majority of gun violence comes from illegal guns. Stealing guns from law abiding gun owners will not solve the issue of gun violence.
I agree that schizos shouldn't be allowed to own guns but banning them outright is retarded and leaves people open to being victimized.
Also Canada has loads of guns but mass shootings are rare. It seems to be a cultural problem and not a policy one.

oh yeah we are seeing a proper bull market in AECO/S2 right now, they are above $0.
Seriously though I wouldn't expect Canadian natty to really go high. The futures curve has been coming down consistently, earlier this year savvy producers could have locked in C$3.5/GJ for most of the rest of the 2020s, now that number is C$3/GJ. Nattygas can and probably will go up closer to C$2/GJ in early 2026 but any sustained move above C$3 is silly. There's so much supply. Mike Rose will just swipe his adaptable well choke app or whatever and magically increase production like so. And Fagerheim, McCormack, Anderson and literally all the other CEOs will drill baby drill their liquids-rich inventory even if gas is $0 which it is right now. They'll produce insane amounts of byproduct gas.
And don't even get me started on the absolute natgas bull anal prolapse that will result from Riddell's dry gas developments through the end of the decade. Sinclair will add another 500MMcf/d in like two years, and as the Woodfibre LNG (or whatever it's called now) development progresses we will likely see Horn River and Liard β both absolute gas monsters β come online since Woodside and Paramount have a 50/50 JV at Liard which could supply that project for literal decades all by its lonesome. And nobody is modelling those dry gas volumes in the supply side equation.
Pic related, casual 12Bcf per well byproduct EURs for Whitecap coming up. Take it and remember to swallow, gas bulls. I don't even want to say what the gas EURs are like at Liard, that shit makes me physically ill.

GreenX Metals updates:
GreenX updates officially their knowledge base about Tannenberg project region area with documents from drilling done during Third Reich times in the 30s.
According to the company it saved them 25 million European pesos in drilling costs. And a lot of time of course.
GreenX also started posting on X again, which they did not do in few years. They tag their posts with #copper #silver #lead #zinc
Price went up into region of 1.80+ Polish pesos per share on WSE. It's also listed on ASX (Ozee pesos) and LSE (Bong pesos) and Hamburg (Europesos).
Why I mention price on Warsaw? There are rumors that someone was doing a price manipulation because for last few years there been large sell orders at opening of the market no matter if there were even very positive news which does not make a lot of sense.
Map in picrel:
~~~~~~~~~~
GREEN POINTS: are drills from few decades ago that are currently in analysis in Finland and we should have results of that analysis this quarter. They are being analyzed as few decades ago no one bothered to analyze full length because back then there was belief that copper exists only in one type of rock, while now we know thanks to KGHM in Poland that there is big chance of copper also in other parts.
WHITE POINTS: Nazi era drilling which is described in documentation found in archives.
They are still holding right there for exploration. Rights were extended this year. See Company news on their page. They own rights together with a company that owns archives and samples that Nuna Minerals collected (Nuna did a lot of drilling looking for various minerals, really wide range of them, you can still find online news about drillings done back then). The amount of data is fucking impressive.
Just the German project is the main hero of most recent news after GreenX get Xplor grant from BHP.
About "yt talking heads" I know that schizophrenic Doug Casey was on Gold Messe conference few years ago where GreenX Metals was presented.
Barron's webpage notes that Sprott Assets Management holds some small position in GreenX. But as I understand this might be someone's managed account. Or few accounts of course.
Reminder that Canadians effectively pay HALF of the capital gains tax Americans do.
Not only that but if they invest in a TFSA, they can invest $100k and any gains from that $100k is literally tax free.
lol you can even get a line of credit and use it to max out a RRSP or TFSA. Itβs risky but say you had $30k LOC, you invest in some shitcos in a RRSP and they 2x, youβll need to pay $3k for interest and $3k for taxes is negated (it otherwise wouldnβt be in a non-registered account, assuming you didnβt tax loss harvest prior to that event).
Thereβs more nuance regarding the RRSP and LOC deposits, but a lot of people use LOCs to deposit maximum contributions within the first few months of the year for tax deductions.
Iβm thinking of doing the LOC in a RRSP ( TFSA is maxed) and invest in something like snowline or whatever project seems less risky but high upside, get a 2.5x and have enough to pay the entirety of the $30k loan back, plus $3k interest , and keep over $30k of my newly minted gains and now keep churning it. Idea is to set a 5% stop loss ($1500) and buy in during a big pullback and hope the 2x manifests itself in less than a year.
Itβs super risky but I really just want more capital to play with.
So?
Are you even aware how it works?
The limit includes all of the years since the TFSA was introduced. It's like $100k or some shit at this point.
You can literally invest $100k if you've never done it before and it's all tax free.
I thought it worked differently years ago until I actually looked it up and was amazed.
Also Carney isn't going to raise capital gains EVER. Trudeau tried to do that and Carney got rid of it to gain votes. It's a dead issue at this point and won't be touched.
>>23299462
>lol you can even get a line of credit and use it to max out a RRSP or TFSA. Itβs risky but say you had $30k LOC, you invest in some shitcos
This is literally what I am doing but it's split between TFSA and non-registered margin account.
I'm gonna make it.
>RRSP
Why would you ever bother with that nonsense since the TFSA exists?
>Iβm thinking of doing the LOC in a RRSP ( TFSA is maxed) and invest in something like snowline or whatever project seems less risky but high upside, get a 2.5x and have enough to pay the entirety of the $30k loan back, plus $3k interest , and keep over $30k of my newly minted gains and now keep churning it. Smart but how did you max out your TFSA already?
Iβve just contributed the max TFSA limit every year since Iβve been eligible for the account, anymore and the CRA will get my ass. Iβve posted screen shots here before but itβs over $115k now, despite bagholding shit like BHS and Trillion for years. Iβve had a few great winners to even it out more less, but Iβve cleared house of dead wood and mainly just have EFR, EU, BLLG GSVR ABRA and Surge going forward (all but EU are all 2x [tax free] gains).
I hate RRSP and outside of company matching I donβt contribute shit. Iβd rather be taxed now and not have to worry later about withdrawal taxes. But i found out itβs legal to import LOC cash into a RRSP so to me it presents a lower risk profile than a non-registered account (which I have a good amount of BLLG in) when the tax-rebate is taken into account. You receive a rebate when you deposit the cash into the RRSP before March 1st.
Only thing to note is that interest paid on the LOC in a non-registered account *is* tax deductible (Smith Rule), whereas the interest portion on the LOC cash in a TFSA/RRSP is not!
I have a hunch to do this and buy a bunch of GSVR shares. The company is meh but the chart is super bullish and the higher silver goes, this company will 2x again soon most likely. So buy after CPI numbers next week that might hit the metals depending on what is revealed. If GSVR drops back down to .30-35 thatβs a good derisked price compared to now
Miners having record cash gains - oh noesl! Let's sell them now because the slope on a chart has only 2,137 degrees less than 90! Start buying when it falls to 90-21,37.
yep it's retarded logic. If these were oil companies and the oil price we were talking about he would probably be right though, since there's no way for oil to stay above $100/bbl in a sustained manner. But this is gold which is historically undervalued, so there's no logical reason to be looking to sell up here. The top will come at some point but not soon.
In all likelihood, no. Copper's price is highly volatile and cyclical as your charts show. During secular commodities bull markets, copper does great. However, pretty much all other times, copper kind of sucks and is particularly vulnerable in recessions. It's called Dr. Copper because of its being a leading indicator for recessions.
I recently sold my very few shares of BHP because it looks like we're entering a recession and copper should get a beat down.
you just called it a ratio yourself. Anyway you could measure most commodities against gold today and you could jump to the conclusion that almost all of them are historically cheap. Will you sell your gold and buy other commodities?
My experience has been that measuring commodities against each other doesn't give any actionable information. They are produced by paying operating and capital expenses in the local currency and sold in USD in most cases.
If we get a bona fide crash, yes, copper will go even lower in price. Gold will also fall in price as will practically everything else as well. The system is so leveraged that there should be a tremendous demand for US dollars to cover that debt.
That's assuming the Fed doesn't do some sort of preventive liquidity operation before a crash (see what they did during the late 1990s to stave off a non-existent Y2K crisis) and we get the deflationary impulse, a side effect of a recession, that is the onset of a deflationary spiral.
Kazatomprom are tapped and struggling for acid, but have moved into neighbouring countries. Cameco have had issues at McArthur River this year but their tier two mines are mothballed ready for utilities to meet them on price. Skilled labour going to be an issue for them with NexGen, Denison, Paladin etc. all hiring in the Athabasca.
The 3-5 year thesis is very strong but the bigger companies are fully priced at these levels. Then you have scams like UEC who haven't reported any production numbers after a year at Christensen Ranch. Great marketing team there.
Worth remembering that global demand through to 2030 has mostly already been purchased. This is a very long lead time industry, all the reactors in construction will have secured uranium and some of that will already be in conversion, enrichment or fabrication. You have to look further along the chart to 2035 when McArthur River and half of Kazakhstan is empty. Those are going to be very difficult lbs to find in a couple of years.
GLO will have financing certainty (loan or JV partner) in the next few weeks. Term sheets for both were received prior to the WNA meeting last week. When they have that locked down they can sell a royalty (UROY didn't visit for nothing) and sign contracts for supply to secure any bridging loans needed to cover while all funds are secured. Further dilution seems to be priced in but I don't think it's guaranteed (not the end of the world tho).
I have a very big bet that clarity alone will lead to a massive spike in share price. The company is absurdly cheap for the quality of Dasa (plus their profitable zinc recycling op). Hopefully I'll either be out or be in the Rick Rule "point of no concern" by year end.
