Going to nature reserve for a walk and birdwatching (and probably a coffee in the coffee shop) and then to a fish and chips joint with massive portions. Nothing too crazy. If I was in Switzerland it would be drinking with my friends but this year is low-key. If the thread is still up I'll update with bird pictures :)

I'm by no means an expert but starting off there is an app called Merlin that uses bird calls to identify what birds are in an area so you have some idea and name of the birds you could potentially watch where you are. Starting off you can use merlin and pictures to start collecting a database on what you've seen and then progress to actually going to places where rare birds have been seen! My Dad recently saw migrating flamingoes in Switzerland which I thought was pretty dope

Merlin actually gives you the name of the bird so it's good when you are learning. The more you go to an area and see the same birds, the more you will start memorising them. Merlin also helps with memorisation by giving you the name of the bird and a sample of their birdsong. It's a really good learning tool but I totally get what you mean. I wish I could hear a birdsong and be like "that's a rare spotted double tit if ever I did hear one". Everyone starts somewhere!

When I looked up zoomer the definition was late 1990's kid to early 2000's. I read 1990 and got confused thinking 1988 was late 1990 (dumb I know). I'd still date a zoomer however but an late 1990's one.
