Not only that, playing vidya in the bottom three (GR,ES,IT) is widely seen as weird, childish and pathetic to this day, preferring to rot their brain with soccer instead. I like God of War for making a relatively serious portrayal of Greek mythology that does well at coming up with designs of gods/mythological characters, but I disliked how every character portrayed is always one dimensional. All the gods are evil deceivers, all the heroes are stupid brutes who just show up to get killed, any creature that appears is just a monster to fight. It's why the first game has the best story, the gods are actually portrayed somewhat faithfully, scheming but mostly having the greater good in mind.

I learned about the creator last year. This game really made my childhood. I had a potato pc and this along with some old games (at the time) made my childhood. The humor is pretty great too. Here's the cover of that book. It had stories about Hercules and the golden apples, story of Prometheus, story of Orpheus and the story of Jason and the Argonauts. The storyteller was able to omit the child inappropriate parts and tell the story in a heroic yet wholesome way.
