When I was little there
was a live action that
would come on every
year and I lived in the
country so I would have
to ride my bike flanked by
tress and woods in between
friends houses and I just
knew I was going to see
that god damned horse
with that mother fucker
on it, just like that show
and think that I probably
couldn’t out run that horse
on my bike.

No, Baron Samedi is not inherently evil; he is a complex Loa (spirit) in Haitian Vodou who embodies death, life, and resurrection and acts as a guardian and guide for the deceased. His association with death can be viewed negatively, but he is also a powerful, protective figure who can grant life and healing, though he is known for being a mischievous and amoral trickster with a dark sense of humor. His nature is more about balance and the duality of life and death than good versus evil.
