This is forgetting the quasi-harem situation that is starting to unfold. My wife has two sisters, both married with kids. Their husbands are both very suburban (fat, leftie, bearded but cant so much as change a tire).
I taught their boys and the wives how to fish and we do stuff like throw tomahawks on my farm. My sister in laws have started treating me like the top husband or something. It's weird. Laugh at my jokes regardless of funny, regularly come visit us to stay despite it being a 2.5 hour drive, and take my advice on letting their kids run around the property on their own.
The few times my wife and I visit them and we go to the museum or whatever in the city, they follow me and if there's a tweaker or whatever they take their kids and get behind me.
Had a moment a few weeks ago where there was a stray pit running around the farm trying to catch my chickens. Nephew hollered and I saw what happened. Told everyone to wait inside and walked outside with a gun to shoot it. Brother in law follows me out. I shoot it and he gives me a glare.
Later I overhear my wife and her sister talking about it on the porch and her sister says "Like, why did Ryan follow anon out? What did he think he was going to do"?
