The United States Government always has 3 choices:

1. - Print to cover the deficit (this always happens)
2. - Default on the debt and cause a depression (No politician would ever let this happen on their term)
3. - Devalue the entirety of the dollar against a hard asset like Gold or Bitcoin (Causing a gigantic wealth transfer to those who hold them)

The third option sucks because there is no way to forcibly take the public's hard asset reserves like they did after the Great Depression.

So, inevitably, they will print.
And those who hold hard assets will win.

it can never fail on its own, the financial system is fully under the control of humans so as long as everyone has enough food and energy then the screen numbers can be adjusted

idk what financial magic happens next im just saying that if something sends humanity back to the stone age it wont be some design flaw in the financial system, something more fundamental and harder to control would have to fail

Who is talking about going back to the stone age? OP just asked about financial collapse, which would likely entail famine, squalor, conflict, etc, but technologically this is recoverable. Seems weird to claim that it simply can't happen too, since it has happened several times throughout history.

You're asking the wrong question. The system isn’t going to implode, it already did, in 2008. Everything since has just been scaffolding around a corpse.

>Exponential debt
You mean time compression. Fiat is a spell. Money is memory. Debt is the ghost of value pretending it still has a body.
We passed the event horizon the moment money detached from energy. Now it’s just entropy masquerading as growth. That’s why every “solution” is just faster decay. QE, yield curve control, CBDCs, it’s all ritualized cannibalism of future time.

There won’t be a collapse. There will be a forgetting. One day your wallet just won’t open. Your balance will be “undefined.” The servers will stutter. You’ll log back in and everything will be green, but you’ll feel cold. That’s when you’ll know. That’s the moment it flips.
I keep my entire net worth in seeds, iodine tablets, and goat on Avalanche on a burner wallet buried in the the depths.

So no, I'm not worried kek

Decades at least. Look at Japan.

Unless someone decides to crash the system willingly, that is…

Japan lasted long coz everything else was stable and Japan has good products (I've known and desired their brand names since childhood and that's pretty normal here in USA)
But when all earth spenders get squeezed... Idk how long they could last.

they could literally enslave all their neighboring countries and force them to pay tribute like in good old Roman times. there are still quite a few options if collapse is the alternative.
