This is extremely interesting to me, it explains why credit card companies crashed today, from ChatGPT. Sorry for text wall but itโs worth it.
If Walmartโor any merchantโissues or accepts a stablecoin directly, it can move value on a blockchain peer-to-peer, rather than routing every transaction through Visa, Mastercard, or similar card-networks. Hereโs how that breaks down:
1. Payment rails vs. blockchain rails
โข Credit-card networks (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx) provide:
1. Authorization (is the card valid and has credit?)
2. Clearing (communicating transaction details among banks)
3. Settlement (actually moving funds between banks)
4. Risk management, fraud prevention, chargebacks, regulations
โข A stablecoin on a blockchain (e.g. a dollar-pegged token on Ethereum) uses the blockchain itself for:
1. Authorization (cryptographic signatures prove you control the wallet)
2. Clearing & settlement (every node sees and validates the transfer in near-real time)
3. Immutable audit trail (the ledger canโt be rolled back)
In other words, blockchain rails replace much of what credit-card networks do.
2. Lower (and more predictable) fees
โข Card networks typically charge merchants ~1โ3% per transaction, plus fixed cents per sale.
โข On public blockchains, network (โgasโ) fees are often a few cents for a simple token transfer (though they can spike), and Walmart could even run or help fund its own sidechain/L2 to drive fees down further.
โข Without a network of issuing banks, acquirers, card networks, and processors all taking cuts, Walmart captures nearly 100% of the transaction amount.
3. Faster settlement
โข Credit-card settlement can take 1โ3 business days for funds to hit a merchant account.
โข A blockchain transfer finalizes in seconds to minutes (depending on the chain) with on-chain proof.
4. Self-custody and programmability

>>60500592So it was money and pussy all along?
>>60500591there are millions of market participants. if party A wanted to transact directly with party B they wouldn't do it where everyone else could screw it up.
>>60500589i refuse to believe places like that exist
>>60500592crabitha's DFC dominates the markets simple as
>>60500575API.
5. Regulatory and compliance plugs
โข Many stablecoin frameworks already build in KYC/AML screening at the โon-rampโ and โoff-rampโ stages, so Walmart could integrate customer verification once (when they buy tokens) rather than pay per-transaction for fraud screening.
In practice:
โข A customer pre-loads โ$100 worth of WalmartCoinโ (a dollar-pegged token), either by paying fiat (via bank ACH, card, or cash) or by swapping an existing stablecoin.
โข At checkout they simply transfer 20 WalmartCoins from their wallet to Walmartโs on-chain wallet.
โข The blockchain confirms the transfer in minutes; Walmart credits the order and retires (burns) those tokensโor holds them until itโs ready to convert back to dollars.
โข No Visa/Mastercard authorization or interchange fee is required on that $20โonly the minimal network fee (if any) to move tokens.
โธป
Caveat: Walmart would still need some on- and off-ramps to get real dollars in and out of its treasury, and those ramps can involve banks or payment processors. But every day-to-day sale then happens off-network, on-chain, bypassing the traditional card-network fees and delays.
TLDR TLDR TLDR
Credit cards are the short of the year IF ONLY IF is the GENIUSAct is passed allowing for the creation of stablecoins by corporations. If this happens Mastercard can lose nearly unlimited money like this short is Big Short like turn 1000 dollars into a house type of insane gains.
The lobbyists are going to fight for their lives so this short wonโt be easy but if you can lock in early gains so you can be free then itโs all good.
>>60500597I refer to them as parties to simplify the situation. I'm getting at the fact that there's some demographic that keeps dumping and another that keeps pumping. Who are they?
Invest in gambling and casino stocks, the house always wins so it's a lock and 100% profit.

The up swing is hordes of retail slurping $50 at a time, always at the ask because they don't know how to place a limit order.

Robin Energy is a new company that still needs to grow, they will print stock until no tomorrow to buy ships. Do not touch it.

>PALANTIR
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to invest in Palantir. The company itself is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of machine learning and data structuring most of the tech and its applications will go over a typical investors head. There's also societys nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into a dystopian high tech future- this philosophy draws heavily from Orwellian literature, for instance. The PLTR investor understands this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this company, to realize that they're not just a company- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike PLTR ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the inclination in what PLTRs CEO said when he said, "We believe in augmenting human intelligence, not replacing it," which itself is a cryptic reference to Huxleys magnum opus Brave New World. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Alexander Karp's genius wit unfolds itself on their brokerage sites. What fools.. how I pity them.

I think the Jews shorted before attacking Iran.
We have to buy when they close their shorts.
They'll only close their shorts before a ceasefire or a normalization where they invade Iran with boots on the ground to clear out the 90 million iranians so they resettle Iran with Jews.
But Iran isn't in greater Israel so I'm weirded out.
Maybe it'll be a ceasefire.

What Iran did with the Houthis was a selective blockade, by using cheap drones and missiles they allowed Chinese and Russian ships to pass while blocking the mainstream fleet. They didn't attack everything, but just enough to make the insurance premiums unacceptable.
That's a far more likely scenario for Hormuz than a full blockade. China would never allow a complete halt.
