The inflation cat is out of the bag. There is no way to get it under control. There has been about 50% more inflation since 2009 than was reported, so the only way we can return to normal without setting out on a path towards hyperinflation is to keep rates high for a long time to absorb that. Expect rates to be relatively high for the rest of the decade, and don't get your hopes up that they will ever return to 0%
