1. Casting and Manufacturing Defects

During casting, silver can dissolve oxygen when melted in an oxygen-rich atmosphere. As the metal solidifies, this oxygen is released as gas bubbles, which become trapped inside the metal. When you sand or polish the surface, you expose these subsurface bubbles, resulting in visible pits.

Overheating the silver, insufficient use of flux, or improper casting techniques can also lead to porosityβ€”tiny holes or pits within the metal.

In silver plating, pits can form if the plating bath is contaminated with particulates, if the carbonate concentration is too high, or if air or hydrogen gas bubbles are trapped during the process.

2. Corrosion and Environmental Factors

Silver is susceptible to pitting corrosion, especially in the presence of sulfur or chloride ions. This type of corrosion creates small, localized holes as the protective oxide layer on the silver is breached, allowing aggressive chemicals to attack the underlying metal.

Pitting corrosion can be accelerated by exposure to salty environments, humidity, or sulfur-containing substances (like rubber bands or certain foods).

3. Wear and Maintenance

Over time, repeated cleaning, polishing, or exposure to harsh chemicals can wear away protective layers, making the silver more vulnerable to developing pits, especially if underlying porosity or corrosion is present.

Cryptographic currencies Currencies have never truly weathered a recession. Their entire existence has played out in a world awash in easy money and tech-driven speculation. Gold and silver, by contrast, have survived thousands of years of upheaval: wars, revolutions, famines, economic collapses, natural disasters, and the rise and fall of empires. Their track record is unassailable.
Try as you must to convince us otherwise, history will not be mocked. Ironically enough, the projection in this image is the inverted reality of cryptocurrencies. Cohenincidential?

I posted an article earlier about gold becoming the second largest reserve asset in the world (in response to iqdelete might I add) and did anyone comment? Nope. But look at my new coin reeeeee. I think that because like I said I work for those miners. So I make my living off the boom and bust cycles

in 2008 mines shut down and stayed down for 2 years.

in 2020 mines again shut down and stayed down for 2 years.

when the market crashes, mines close and metals dump. Then a couple years later metals moon and mines re-open

It's possible, this situation isn't a repeat of 2008 or covid.

but either way a recession is going to kill miners for a while. When the market crashes miners shut down, even if metals go up.
liquidity problems hit miners instantly.

I'm not an expert on royalties, you should probably ask /cmmg/ on /bant/

that said, royalties tend to make bank when metals rise and miners produce. Which seems to be happening right now.

very basically what royalties do it provide growth and exploration capital in exchange for a share of mining profits

so they have very little debt, they act like a bank for miners. But there is risk that
1. Miners won't produce and be able to pay back the investment of royalty companies
2. Miners won't produce and pay royalties to royalty companies

aside from that there's not a lot of downside. They borrow money to miners and make money if miners make money, but don't necessarily lose much if miners go broke.

they're basically cash factories if miners boom. But in a downturn they go flat.

Printing money won't ease a recession, that just causes inflation and feeds the recession.

np

the other good thing about royalties is diversification. They loan money to lots of miners, and they only need one or two to hit good ore to moon.

in that regard they're like a mining ETF because most of their clients can go bankrupt but if a few miners moon they get rich. It flattens out the risk. It also flattens profits though because most of their clients WILL go bankrupt. Just like an ETF

that's retarded. why not judge people on what they've come here to talk about? who cares if they post their stack. Who cares if they even have one as long as they are contributing to the conversation? And yes I agree I've posted a lot replying to that brown mental patient. But he wants the fuego he gets the fuego, simple as that. I've also engaged other anons who are here in good faith. And I enjoy that much more

based. what are your thoughts on Altria right now? I was holding their stock previously. Thinking of buying back in. What other tobacco stocks do you like?

You have no point. You just come here to talk shit because you are shit. Post your portfolio. You won't because you are poor. Looks like the other anon called you out. You slipped up and posted your $25 account a couple of years ago. I didn't see you deny it.

I am pretty sure he's a pathological liar. I mean that in the clinical sense. Don't know if you've ever had the pleasure of interacting with one in real life but 10/10 would recommend. They are fascinating people in their own right. The way they can weave detailed lies on the spot is amazing. There is nothing you can say to convince them that they are lying. Because in their mind its all real. iqdelete literally believes he is a bitcoin millionaire who rents out luxury apartments.

Yes they are available for industrial use and will eventually get melted down as needed. Their existence, which grows every year, mitigates any future price rise

All silver mined gets "used" every year but not "consumed" hard to know if stacktards or silver scammers are pretending to be retarded

>they are available for industrial use
No, it isn't. Not until it is sold by the owner. The silver I own is not available for industrial use unless I sell it.
>Their existence, which grows every year, mitigates any future price rise
And what is the demand side? Is industrial demand going to be some X that you just pulled out of your ass? Is it going to be 10X that? 100X that?
>"used" every year but not "consumed"
clearly define what you mean by used and what you mean by consumed.

Sometimes, letting the foolishness of deceptive rhetoric flow is necessary, healthy, and even good for lots of reasons.
It is necessary because without the contrast of the blackness of the sky, you can't see the stars. Healthy because getting out of oneself lies and guile can make room for love and truth while simultaneously identifying those who are in need of help.
Ironically enough, there is very little in this realm we have any agency to effectively save.

This is the problem with counterparty risk (((assets))) as they as so laughingly called.
This is why you don't tell people your dreams until they materialize.
This is why we fail collectively.
We're not like they/them looking to pull the rug on a fren.
This is why wealth is stacked one coin on top of another in silence with gratitude and peace. Because if you pull the rug from another, the rug shall be pulled from underneath you.
>Risk can not be avoided, only transferred in time and place.
