Nice. I'm looking at $2k (no disability) minimum in a few years. Did you use the VA home loan? If so is it worth making a sizeable downpayment? Cashflow is not an issue for me.

Not yet, I have two months left on my lease and want to move to another state. I’m planning to do about 35-40% down payment, then aggressively pay it as fast as I can, goal is 10 years. Granted, I’m house poor and never owned a home, so if there’s something more sensible I could do, I’ll do it, this is just what I have thought for now
