Chainlink x Mastercard
Can someone explain like i'm a drooling retard what exactly this partnership is? What is Chainlink actually DOING for Mastercard? I've tried reading articles and I don't get it.

Yes I get
>now you can buy crypto directly with your mastercard debit card
somewhat as a concept. I do not get how Chainlink comes into play here. The language is so vague: "will use chainlink's infrastructure" = ..?
Is it CCIP? Is Chainlink providing price feeds? I am not a fuddie I genuinely want to understand

>p.s. who the fuck names their website CoinGape

Chainlinkโ€™s role is to serve as the interoperability layer that seamlessly links Mastercardโ€™s card network with the decentralized on-chain crypto ecosystem. It connects the card-based fiat payment process (powered by Mastercard and Shift4) with multiple blockchains and DeFi platforms, like Uniswap via XSwap

mastercard is essentially a private ledger, and chainlink's CCIP is built in a way that enables it to connect the mastercard ledger to public ledgers (blockchains). CCIP enables native mastercard transactions to seamlessly become blockchain transactions. So your credit card can now initiate blockchain transactions.

Does that seem insanely advanced and powerful to you? That's because it is. And there is NOBODY else in this space that can even begin to do this shit. Chainlink is so far ahead that it isn't even funny. They are in their own league, their own race. Every other "interoperability" or "infrastructure" project in crypto is child's play in comparison.

I don't get it
Let me try to get it
Mastercard will use CCIP to.. do exchanges of mastercard's stablecoin dollar (?) and crypto OnChain.. does mastercard have a private ledger with its own stablecoin?

https://nitter.poast.org/chainlink/status/1937512981064974756#m

i don't understand any of this
"Chainlink verifies and synchronizes key transaction details to enable Mastercard holders to access crypto directly onchain"
is this CCIP?

yeah i don't get it
and i'm a fairly smart person, i'm not einstein obviously but i'm a programmer that did well in school my whole life
is this why the prices is low? if i can't get it then a normal person certainly can't
