People are starting to note that Israel seems to be incapable to keep up with their own destruction-they rebuild slower than they destroy themselves. And people were figuring this out before they even started the Iran shit.
Iran won this war. It is very obvious.
Israel straight up underestimated Iran in their social cohesion(didnt turn on leader) and also the insane amounts of missile launchers hidden in their mountains.
Also apparently air power is useless against a zillion hidden missile launchers.
The west has learned a lot.
Of course the west could have smashed Iran but the political cost is to great of a price to way.
>>60547294Wow thank you mr president
>>60547293>Of course the west could have smashed Iran but the political cost is to great of a price to way.Only cause we know where it leads. To Iraq style insurgency, but way worse. Cause Iran has a higher population now than Iraq did pre-invasion. IED's plus drones adds to the horror.
>>60547106If youre hated by western zog (or eastern zog as well) obtaining nukes is literally the only way to make yourself safe from being pushed around and attacked. See also Ukraine, Russia only attacked because they managed to trick dumbfuck Ukraine into giving them up.

>Retailers are rushing returns back to resale market as Trump tariff costs hit item economics
That doesn't sound like good news
Newbie here, just have a couple months and 6 books on my back.
I have a question - regarding stocks specifically - what exactly is the way a company benefits from stock sales?
There's an IPO, stocks are sold to the public yadda yadda but after a certain point it's mostly institutions and retail buying stocks from one another, right? Where's the benefit in the company for having people trade their stock but not necessarily buying it from the company itself?
>>60547415I mean if you do it right you can slide it into a high interest savings at 4 to 5%> Robinhood offers it directly if you're brave
>>605475351. Market Liquidity = Shareholder Value
Liquidity means people can buy or sell shares easily at fair prices.
A liquid market encourages more investors to participate.
This supports a healthy share price, which is important because:
Founders, employees, and early investors often hold large amounts of stock.
A high share price = more wealth for them.
It also reflects market confidence in the company.
2. Stock Price as a Currency
Publicly traded shares can be used for:
Acquisitions: Companies can use stock to buy other companies.
Employee Compensation: Stock options and RSUs (restricted stock units) are key parts of compensation packages.
Raising More Money Later: The company can issue more shares later in what's called a secondary offering.
Higher share prices = more capital raised with less dilution.
3. Brand Credibility and Visibility
Being publicly traded increases the companyโs profile and prestige.
It can help with marketing, attracting talent, partnerships, etc.
4. Governance and Accountability
Stock trading creates price signals that reflect investor perception.
Boards and executives watch this closelyโit can drive strategy or indicate problems early.

Fundamentals are fucked, I guess.
>>60547578Premium's not worth potentially getting assigned at $24 a share
>>60547535>what exactly is the way a company benefits from stock sales?if they do stock buybacks when the PE is 10, and sell new stocks when the PE is 30, they are literally buying low and selling high, off their own stock
You can think of it as a way to raise money. You sell new stocks, for 500 million dollars or whatever.
Then, later on, you can do stock buybacks when the price is lower
Or, you just keep issuing new shares. You take the money you got, to do some amazing incredible profitable thing (this only applies to some companies) which will overcome the share dilution, and the stock price will go up after that investment pays off
many times this is an acquisition.
This is an alternative to taking out loans to fund your acquisitions
But the big problem is that you're fucked if the stock price tanks. Then you really really don't want to issue new shares at a low price
But you probably also will have difficulty getting a loan if your company is in trouble any way
Think of it as a way to get a business loan that is OUTSIDE the credit cycle of the fed. But now it depends entirely on your stock price. So you ride or die. and some companies do very well with this strategy
im not feeling so bullish after what i saw today

My god!
This explains everything
like how rich guys can be fat, but still get treated well by society
though I'm not sure if this applies to women so much
perhaps money x cup size x butt size / waist size (or total weight)
So you take the 3 sizes, and then translate that over to how it works for women. of course height is not the same thing for women, as it is for men. they have different numbers

I'm trying to apply for options on Schwab, the limited risk category. It's asking for how much trading experience I have on this shit which is technically zero. But I've been into crypto for 6 years, so I got a pretty damn good idea about the functionality of this stuff. I don't want to put zero because I feel like even though it's technically correct it isn't entirely accurate. What do I put so they don't reject my application? I don't want to get denied because of technicalities. Do they actually verify this info? Or is this just a liability thing where they go through the motions so they don't get sued?

>>60548241Schwab is a more conservative brokerage, they are not looking for Robinhood retards. How long you have had an account, how much is your account, your trading history, are losing money doing stupid shit. I applied about 6 or 7 months ago and put "zero" experience trading options and limited experience trading stocks because I invest, not trade. the application also asks how many trades you plan to make and so on. I put like 10 to 100. I also declined margin. I was approved in about one or two days, maybe sooner, I was in no rush. Just apply, you can always just call them and discuss if you get declined. Just don't go all retarded if you get approved, it a takes some time to get familiar with how to make it work on their website and what it looks like - all the numbers as the trading days progress and the option increases or decreases in value.
Also, if you are trying to apply for options approval in a work sponsored 401k its likely your employer has pre-denied this ability so you will not be approved. For your own brokerage account or IRA its up to you.
>>60547382>I think Israel expected more American support. Not only support, but for America to swoop in like Captain Save-A-Ho and rescue them with the full might of the US military. They even lied to 47 that their efforts were effective in neutralizing Iran's nuclear program.

>>60547382>I think Israel expected more American support. The attack was 100% planned by US and Israel, both thought the surprise attack would leak to the collapse of the regime. Did not happen. It took maybe 24 hours but Iran started striking back - we saw the vids all over. Israel could not stop many of the more advanced missiles and was getting its shit pushed in. Both Iran and Israel took more losses than either expected and the US did its nuclear complex strike and declared total success to get it stopped before it spun out of control. This was US/Israel's last chance to get regime change and it failed - it showed Iran, Russia, China again exactly what the US is going to do (it recently did the same style attack against Russia's nuclear capable bombers). Everyone will be much more alert, cautions and prepared now and in the future.

>>60548427>30 civies deadYou think Iran was actually really trying to kill civilians? That was not the point of their attacks. They know Israel has bunkers. >>60548427>Nobody even considered regime changeIt was always about regime change, that is why the couped Iran in the 70s to get rid of Mosoddegh, to regain control of Iran's oil. Iran is allied with Russia and China and the US wants to control Iran to stop Iran from selling oil in other currencies, to deny Russia its planned rail/port project, and block China from getting oil from Iran. The nuclear enrichment is just an excuse, its about regime change, just like Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somolia, and Egypt and the the other color revolutions.
>>60548447>Will I get assigned tomorrow?IF the buyer executes the contract your shares will be called away and you will be paid the strike price (price you agreed to), and you already received the premium for the contract. If you sold a put you could get assigned (received the shares) the shares (and have to pay the agreed upon strike price). You should practice dealing with smaller amount of money, stocks that cost like $5 until you really see how it works and understand so you do not lose a large amount, or get assigned and owe more than you can pay.

>>60547978I went on a bit of a binge after the Shanghai Auto Expo, and honestly, I think the German car industry is finished. Over here in Europe, their cars are still everywhere, but itโs clear that our own manufacturers, despite being ahead by a decade, completely dropped the ball.
Most of our top designers have jumped ship to China. The industry there is exploding, the pay is excellent, and they actually get to build things from scratch instead of being forced to rework outdated junk. I was in China for business just before COVID hit, and even then in 2018, the city centers were packed with electric cars. Electric scooters and delivery bikes were already the norm. Theyโre not just catching up, theyโve already pulled ahead.
It was Xiaomi's first attempt, you can be sure the second one won't be as flimsy.
Capital markets are going to hit Europe twice as hard for failing to adapt in time. Investors will start pulling their money out and backing agile upstarts instead of sinking more into outdated legacy players stuck in the past.
I hope China wakes up and starts liberalizing market and bring more transparency over the next five years, instead of propping one mega project bubble after another.
