I got into Digimon cause of a buddy. The game is really fun and I was surprised that some cards for a relatively new game goes for that much. Then again they're at the same issue as old Pokemon where there's not a lot of printing going on since Bandai is running 7 card games at the moment. Hopefully Digimon and One Piece doesn't die out in a few years. Bandai is terrible at keeping their card games alive.

safest buys is always sealed product, you wont lose money holding booster boxes or pokemon center etbs for 2+ years so if you're thinking long term products like 151, Prismatic, Evolving Skies, maybe Destined Rivals are solid

but that is as boring as stocks and you might want something cool to look at longterm too. obviously I like zards, you cant go wrong with charizard. 20+ years they'll all be worth more.

if you dont like zards my best bet would be cards with "nicknames" see the stained glass birds, moonbreon, lovebirds, bubble mew. basically anything with a nickname that sticks means its popular & in demand

One piece is crashing, they recently introduced rotation in the game which means people who donโ€™t care about collecting are going to be dumping their old stuff soon and thereโ€™s not enough buy pressure to absorb it all.
