at last you truly see
i thought of buying one of those gizmos in the past but i always bounced off when i thought of the inevitability that the drivers and controlling app for it require the latest Android®™ iPhone®™ Windows 12®™ Ubuntu®™ Niggers®™ and for some sordid reason want to connect to the fucking internet

>>60555266
unless the wallet uses multiply redundant, non-eraseable EPROM with debug pins provided to read the key out in case of catastrophic failure, it is not forever
i wouldn't be surprised if some wallets just use flash storage which would be pure lel

Relying on a business to upkeep your "forever future currency" is dumb as fuck.

Just get an old laptop/chrome book
>wipe it, install Linux
>download open-source wallet software on USB and put it in new laptop
>never connect it to wifi, disable the ability to desu
>use offline transaction signing feature built in wallet

I will say my trezor from like 10 years ago still works fine with updates that are all done on TOR. Thats said NEVER EVER trade with cold storage. Its called STORAGE for a reason. If you dont trade with it the gubamint can never know unless they REALLY wanna fuck with you. But that means you really pissed some people off.

That said:

>shutting down the nano
is that real?
i remember there was some gay new glowie-sounding backup feature they were pushing, but the nano was safe from it since the hardware couldnt support it. is it because of that?
good thing i just swapped to a btc-only trezor

I simply don't have access to the wallet, I lost it in a boating accident. Therefore it is capital gains loss.
