I still don't get why BTC has held on but it makes no sense to fight the tide, especially when it's a tsunami.

8 years ago I would have said no fucking way is BTC #1 at this point, yet here we are and it's not even close. But the crazy thing is nothing has changed, BTC still literally does nothing. Now millions of alts do the same thing BTC does but better, and many alts do quite a lot more and bring actual value to the economy.

Yet, first mover's advantage and an army of people who will do anything in their power for "number go up" instead of actually stewarding blockchain tech seem to have quite a lot of sway.
