Anons... I need to get this off my chest before I lose my mind.
Remember last week when BTC was hovering around $105k and everyone here was screaming about it dumping back to $90k? Yeah. My old Fiat Punto finally gave up the ghost. Transmission shot. Needed €4,000 for the repair just to get to my wagie job.
I convinced myself it was the smart move. "Take profits," I thought. "It'll go lower, I can buy back more sats after the repair." So I sold 0.038 BTC that I'd been painstakingly DCAing since 2022. It was a chunk of my stack, a big chunk for a poorfag like me.
That was Tuesday.
Now look at the charts. Just look at them.
It's literally sitting here at $110,000+ while my car's still in the shop. That 0.038 BTC would be worth another €250. Almost a week of food.
I feel it in my gut, anons. That slow, burning rage. That creeping certainty that I'm just destined to be exit liquidity for others

DCAing into BTC served you as a savings account that generated more wealth for you in two years than any standard savings account could. Your still fortunate to have had the money for the repair when you needed it as opposed to taking out a shitty loan, signing up for a payment plan with the garage or taking the bus. While it may be painful dipping into an asset that you know has not reached it's full potential, you can still be grateful that you had the savings when you needed it. It's like the story of the Taoist Farmer, sure the horse ran away but who knows if it really was bad luck and not the prelude to something bigger.

Don't feel bad OP, I'm giving you a hard time because I did the same exact thing. Transmission failed in my 2000 Cadillac DeVille. Spent almost my entire savings ($3500) replacing the transmission, and the head gasket failed a few months later. That doesn't even account for the thousands upon thousands of dollars I spent on other repairs for that car over the few years I owned it

>Dude, just get a beater, it's way cheaper than a $150/month car payment on an actually good, reliable vehicle!

They tell you this because they want you to be poor forever
