what I'm going for is different than Godel, more of a strategy research platform than a live market heartbeat type thing. I don't really care about bar charts, low latency, live news, live options OI, etc. I don't need this stuff on my screen, I just need an easy UI for data science type stuff. some of the data science type shite I'll do is evaluate pure signal output across various strategy parameters for robustness using the heatmaps for visual aid, apply various regime filters to see if I can improve performance, SL/TP optimization, partition the data for walk-forward validation, evaluate how various selection criterias and processes hold up to OOS data, different execution models, etc. in the future I'll do more ML stuff but for now I'm intentionally keeping it simple and only working with indicators to smooth everything out while anticipating and allowing for more complexity down the road. I basically want to be able to do really granular analysis with a composable system that let's me iterate and research as fast as I can think.

the yaml config syntax was here: >>60589198. the idea is that you can construct pretty complex strategies relatively simply (the example there is a weighted regime ensemble where sub strategies can have their own risk config, constraints, etc) using reusable components but some new strategies will need to be hard coded.

thanks for the feedback. for quirky names I was stuck on 'bandit' for awhile (multi-arm bandit reference in reinforcement learning), then I liked narwhal cuz it's a small unicorn whale (lol), I liked random forest too but all those were taken, even the shitty domain extensions.
