Perhaps. I did scroll down further on the translation and it does appear there is an addendum to the "source" part below the rhs diagram:
"SWIFT's official press release, August 2023, Samsung Securities."

Might not necessarily be new information, but Samsung would ostensibly be more well informed about these things than us and gives a decent chance that it's progressing nicely.

it's just fud
the real fud is that we will get fucked with a ipo
staking gets reduced to nothing/minimal then the real $ flows to CLL via off-chains deals - this is happening now, they get paid millions for bank and institutional projects + ccip integrations
but the worry is they could make this their end game rather than a transitional phase

Now thats doubt without being unfounded. Retail does not have the use for VRF and CCIP transactions when they can just go through a centralized solution like opensea or coinbase. When enterprise adoption goes full scale and you dont see revenue being generated at that level from transactions then that explanation makes a lot of sense.

The real FUD will be having to hook into the system. We will probably have to deny Christ as our Lord and Savior too. I unironically have lost all interest in โ€œgetting richโ€ in this new system we are going into because of Link. I knew this was all going to happen and I only bought Link to prevent being exposed to the same system as the riffraff. Itโ€™s unfortunate we didnโ€™t at least get 3-4 years of fun in the old world with Link at $500 or whatever before they clamp down on everyone. Every bitch has a tattoo too.

Theres also the factor of liquidity needed in order to secure the network. If defi turns into a trillion dollar industry then an IPO is not needed. If defi stagnates but industries still rely on link then an IPO might be warranted.

I remember that it only takes 1% to secure a quadrillion dollar ecosystem. That means trillions of value on the link ecosystem itself. If people surmise that bitcoin can reach gold's market cap then LINK can theoretically match the trillion needed.

Interesting.

The economics of link are not designed to make holders rich.
There is no reason for the company to do anything that is not in its own interest.
There is a reason securities laws were invented back in the day.
If link holders actually owned equity in the company every single one of them would have made it.
They do not though, and the company is not a charity nor stupid enough to just give away billions to holders. There is absolutely no rational reason to do so.
They're also smart enough to mathematically model ways to maximally extract value from the token to the company, since they understand the supply and demand of it better than anyone.
The ICO golden era of irrationality is long, long over.

It doesn't matter if it is needed or not though. That's kind of the point.
You can just get link over the counter from the company you know.
Think about it. But never sell. There's no point in selling.
Five years from now I'll check back here and it will be the same story, even if link is even more wildly successful than it is now.
The same story will be told, if you could go back in time n years and describe the state and success of link... you might assume the token would be priced orders of magnitude higher based off of assumptions people here make about how it works economically.
But n years from now it will be the same story, even if link plays a fundamental role in global fintech and is successful.
I believe the company is and likely will continue to be successful the way it is designed.
I'll be extra correct if link ever does a public offering like Circle. They've covered their legal bases with the utility token. So while people might get mad and attempt a class action, they won't win. The company always wins. Because they're smart like that.

Its really palpable why retards who are focused on their bags pumping TODAY are questioning why nobody within 10 feet of them arent using VRF to mint randomized racist NFTs or swapping USDT between avalanche and ethereum. Its obviously that simple.

Its like the retards saying that it was the ETH miners that kept graphics card prices at an absurd level.

The vast majority of retail does not have any use for the functionality of what chainlink provides if they can go through a centralized solution. I point to those tokens because even though links price has not increased, the majority of project do not gain traction. That being said, everyone knows that the enterprise market is waiting for it's hymen to be broken.

Do you know how long nvidia went public before their stock price pumped?

Speculative demand. That's literally all they have.
Link has massive network demand, XRP has massive speculative demand.

And in the current era before mass adoption, crypto relies mostly on speculation.
Normally this means speculating on future network demand, but obviously the current crypto market is too stupid to know that.

It has had massive network demand for the past half decade. Most of crypto uses the network, which in turn needs the token.

And the future holds an insane growth in network demand, with the absolute biggest tradfi players openly talking about integrating it. So speculative demand should be through the roof, except pic related.

It's all been speculative.
And for various reasons (suppression etc.) the speculative market chooses to ignore Link, even though network demand for Link is extremely high compared to literally all other cryptos.

If youโ€™re referring to manipulation or overvaluation, some projects (not Chainlink) have inflated market caps due to wash trading or low liquidity. For LINK, its market cap is grounded but doesnt fully capture its $46 billion Total Value Secured, suggesting undervaluation rather than inflation.

So point to me where the manipulation is happening with the LINK token. Can you point to any specifics that validates your claim? Wheres the fake volume?

market caps have no relation to wash trading or low liquidity, market cap is simply supply x current price, it is an extremely flawed and unreliable metric, because the nominal usd valuations do not exist in reality, for example nobody actually bought $100b worth of XRP, you can't find such a transaction on any CEX or DEX
LINK's market cap is also fake by applying the same logic

Even though the AI thinks that youre wrong. I dug more into it to see that what youre explaining and it does provide more insight into valuating projects. You can do price = market cap / circulating supply but that does not factor in certain scenarios like liquidity and low volume which is what you said clarifies the situation.

Im more inclined to believe your assertion that paints a whole image rather than what AI is reinforcing.

Thats like saying BMI is worthless because its calculated from height and weight. If that was the case then most websites wouldnt rank projects based on marketcap.

If marketcap was completely worthless then investment flows, exchanges, and coin trackers wouldnt highlight it so prominently.

Your emotionally charged rhetoric is screaming that you want this subtle win even though you arent providing much substance yourself. Convenient of you to finally chime back in.

Derived metrics arenโ€™t worthless. Thatโ€™s like saying price to earnings ratios are fake because theyโ€™re calculated.

And then you said Chainlink has zero future potential because all of tradfi is lying about adopting crypto as a whole.

I'm a lurking newfag that is retarded so I don't really understand, but can someone explain why the "everyday people don't use this, will never use this, and so it will never pump" narrative applies to something like LINK but not to BTC? People know about BTC sure, but the average Joe doesn't really care about it or know anything more than "it's digital money", yet it's 6 digits. Is it truly only first mover's advantage? If so, isn't LINK the first mover in its field?

The actual answer is nearly every person that posts obsessively in these threads holds 10k+ link, and you know it because none of them can ever show their sell orders to prove they dumped, and nobody's paying this much attention if they don't hold a significant amount. So you have this weird situation where unlike gme where nobody made money except for a small group of insiders, in this case, nearly everyone on /biz/ got boosted anywhere from low 6 figures to low 7 figures (everyone who was around 2017 to early 2019 anyways). So now you have a large swathe of people who all see the fundamentals, see the writing on the wall, but also understand they're trapped in a chaotic irrational market that hasn't truly had its dotcom crash yet (except maybe for altcoins). They know its going to happen but they can't predict when and they also know retail doesn't fucking matter for this timeline. So some remain positive, but a great many who didn't find success in their personal lives and thought they'd just make it like early ETH buyers, slowly went insane, and fud because the idea that someone else could still accumulate even a thousand link now and make it in a tenth or hundredth of the time they had to wait, infuriates them.

TA never got anyone rich. TA didn't convince anyone to buy bitcoin 15 years ago. TA at best can serve day traders, the overwhelming majority of which are in the red.

What actually happens when you get a true paradigm shift is something akin to ETH in 2017, where people aren't prepared and actively doubt it while its happening, and live to regret it for the rest of their lives. And everyone thinks "it can never happen to me", until you become that pessimistic, which is exactly how markets conspire to fuck the average man. TA would dictate you don't buy link until this or that level, but this assumes you are comfortable moving 6/7 figures in and out of the market which is where most anons holding link are sitting right now. And the reality is, no it probably isn't going to 1k overnight. But it can very easily have a sudden pump past previous ath, and price out anyone thinking they'd just wait until it hits this or that price level. Unless you really think you're going to put a 500k buy order at that price level?

Trading is a rich man's game, but more specifically, its an insider's game.

And if you're poor and just starting out, you're even dumber for thinking you are going to time the market.

that's like you inventing a synthetic metal and going around asking everyone why they don't value it the same as gold

then someone asks you about it, and you pull out tons of graphics and research papers showing them why your metal is superior to gold. they shrug and say they've had 100 people this year give a similar presentation, so they'll just stick with gold

This is true for the company but LINK is literally not needed in service of the business they secure. CLL company investors might do well but this doesn't translate to token holders literally at all.

It literally is though.
The token itself is a literal technical requirement for the tokens to even operate.

Link dipshits will see a 5 year downtrend and assume they know better than the market lmao. Then they will call others naive for not buying into it. You understand the most likely outcome here is it does just trend to 0 against btc.

Low iq linkies will then suggest the market is being manipulated against them. When in reality the inverse is true, there is so little buying pressure that if link wasn't a cult it would be sub 5 dollars right now.

No it isn't. They use privately licensed software. No one is required to use your public operator network and they have massive security and financial incentives to not and zero incentive to just to pump your bag

I bought link and sold it in 2019 like every original poster did. You are one step above the people thinking btc will 1000x still despite buying in 2020 peak and 1.5 steps above people who think dogecoin will. Your play is more technical but it is just as technologically illiterate. In some really meaningful ways it is even more.

If you use literally any Chainlink product, you're using Chainlink nodes.

No ifs ands or buts.

Literally all of crypto is subsidized like that.
Nodes on Bitcoin, Eth (pre merge), Solana, ... pretty much all L1s out there are all more than 90% subsidized.
