>>60608450Don't make me tap my post.
>>60608228Higher prices on everything means higher inflation, which Bitcoin is supposed to hedge against. Stocks generally like inflation, but not disruptflation.
CLBR chads how is it going to go after merger next week
>>60608209no way inflation was 10% for just a few years. my snack doesn't just go up by about 1.5x in price in about 5 years time. i can feel it, the value of the dollar is accelerating downwards. but what stocks do i stick my money in that go up in value harder than the fiat goes down? than again all in on SPY during the 2020 bottom would have you up by at least 2x. but homes in nice places probably all went up by more than 2x in value
found a good one for ya old school bois, if there are any of yous lurking.
LGL, which stands for LGL group, super exciting already. But they got a super smart CEO (son of an OG value investor) and for now they are just sitting on cash waiting for a good undervalued company to buy up. its kinda funny their investments make more money than the main segment (time synchronization electronics, kinda don't care about them but they make steady money so eh), so they have to play a balancing game in order not to be classified as an investment group as their investing income is 4x the electronics.
I'm really not selling them well, they're super boring but if the CEO is as smart as he is on paper (graduated harvard and MIT) then it should be a steady and boring investment. Oh and they mentioned graham and dodd when explaining what companies they want to buy up, that extra sold me. I decided I need a bit more boring but reliable in my portfolio, this satisfies it 100%.
last note, I just remembered when I last shillled a company based off of a super smart management. CTM and SATL both got smarts up and down their c-suite, so I ain't talking outta my ass. if ya don't believe me read their 10k, you should be doin that anyways, especially if you're a fundamental analysis guy like me, but I even surprise myself by being better day by day at the numbers side of things, the quantitative side. But my thinkin is if the qualitative is rock solid, they are gonna get the numbers side sorted out eventually, or at least make sure the shareholders get treated fairly in a bankruptcy. Like the person dictates the company, you focus on good people doing smart things, can't go wrong.

>>60608517SBSW has a lot of North American operations as well.
>>60608686There will be but it will begin in the October-January time frame.
>>60608699Lol. After the April recovery everyone was saying that the big one 2 electric boogaloo was coming in Summer, now its postponed till Winter, then it'll be Spring.
By the Winter of 2029 when the S&P is over 9000 and BTC is $500,000 you will still be sitting here just as broke, socially immobile, fat & depressed saying to yourself over and over that any day now it'll all come crashing down and bring everyone down to my level. That's when your real life starts.
Well guess what pal. It isn't happening. 2008 was a once a 100 years thing, akin to 1929. You'll likely never see a financial catastrophe in your lifetime again, only flash crashes and blip dips.
>>60608720You have no idea whatโs coming. And I give zero fucks if you believe me. Best of luck :)

>>60608426 (OP)Anyone watch the Shkreli analysis videos? They're the only resource that gives me a actual clear idea of how serious analysis works in practice. They're so useful imo.
>>60608731you are literally one of these mentally ill retards. at this point why dont you just "end" it
>>60608782Shkreli is GOAT for free resources but his actual picks have been really poor lately and watching him lose it all on SRPT is quite funny tbqhfam.
>>60608731the bear mentality ultimately boils down to seething resentment, much like a marxist. success, beauty, gains, all are a glaring reminder of their own dysgenic incompetence and low intelligence. they recoil from risk, a child taking refuge in cash and gold like in his mothers breasts from the scary world. all the while they can show everyone what a big smart boy they are by scolding them and pulling up deleted Michael Burry tweets
>>60608718I think David Hunter's meltup and blow of top thesis is the scenario now unfolding. ES to 8000, NQ to 28000, YM to 50000, RTYl to 3000, Gold to $4000, Silver to $75, Bitcoin to $140k-$170k.
The market indices may have a small 3%-5% retracement over the next week or so with the tariff news, but market will mostly shake it off and pump to new highs. Tariffs are a nothing burger at this point until it cause recessions to deepen in other countries, which will lead to contagion.
Watch Japan closely this fall.
Why are bulls always so aggressive? They are playing a rigged game to their advantage and yet they are so sensitive.
>>60608720S&P is going to 8000 over the next few months.
wtf man even dogecoin up almost 10% today
>>60608815altseason is starting, fickle at the moment. 20% vertical move for ETH incoming, then assrape volatility for 4-6 months for ETH and alts, BTC +5% crab, into cycle end
I wonder which exchanges will be liquidated this time around
The only way to make the value of the dollar recover is tie its value to the bitcoin.
The value of 1 $ = the value of 1 BTC.
The federal government then buys BTC in bulk and creates the modern equivalent of a gold reserve; I don't understand why everytime I pitch this people call me a psychopath.
>>60608831Because you will be forever wrong.
1 BTC = 1 BTC
>>60608831or just bring the gold standard back like we had in the pre clown world times
is anyone else watching WISE (WIZEY ADR)? honestly extremely impressed with their app and their numbers plus theyre going to list on US exchange soon. They fill a different niche than PAYO but can probably compete with them in enterprise forex while totally locking down global retail
>>60608831Bitcoin is a distraction. Yes, some of the crypto skids will make a fortune in crypto over the next few months, but so what?
What's actually going to happen is gold revaluation, but it won't come until after the crash, perhaps in 2026 or 2027. One of Trump's top picks for replacing Jerome Powell, or for replacing Scott Bessent as Treasury Secretary if Bessent takes the Fed position, Judy Shelton, wants 50-year and 100-year gold backed US treasuries.
Trump's mantra is a "Golden Age for America" for a reason.
Gold will go to $10k easy later this decade.
>>60608849They're no Revolut or Monzo but a trailing third thing with some promising growth. Hard pass from me but that means it'll probably be ยฃ25 a share by the end of the year.

uh oh red day, as always SLUUUUUUUUURP euro def
>>60608897>Revolutthat is literally a 3rd world remittance app downloaded online on govt issued androids for illegal immigrants, which hopefully gets taxed into the abyss. Wise is legit, for normal people abroad or on vacation, and SMBs or even sizeable enterprises. Their business model is genius and the UI is impeccable. Also a bunch of high IQ Estonian guys started it and are trying to get out of the UK because they actually want to grow. and they have been and will grow. seriously, look at their annual report on their website
>>60608911Awful defensive, how emotional and unwise of you. Revolut is so much better is every conceivable way and has way more users and AUA. Seethe and cope.
WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING TO SILVER?!?
>>60608911this poster must be finnish as he immediately wants to do weaponized taxing against someone he doesn't like
>>60608928sorry you are a woman and bizarrely read hostility into a normal adult conversation. Revolut is patently a worse product in every conceivable way. It targets literal brown hordes and its in their pricing strucutre. its free up to 1k a month, and then .5-1% after that. Wise is between 0.15-2% flat, meaning they target normal business and non poor, non-illegal immigrants feeding 10 family members in shitistan for 20 dollars. also Wise's product is just better, its way faster, serves double the currencies with all pairs having the same rates unlike Revolut. Revolut is just a first mover and stagnant piece of trash that also supports shitcoins. Wise is going to eat its lunch and its clear if you have eyes. I think N Americans just dont know about it yet, which means its undervalued
>>60608943yes i want to tax remittances at 100% so economic shitkin leeches stop coming to the 1st world and taking jobs from teenagers. because no one would like my non tax solution

>>60608938HSBC was the main dumper of silver in the COMEX, they were artificially suppressing the price so the Chinese could buy silver concentrate from the West at discount for their solar industry. When Trump announced 50-100% tariffs on Chinese solar in April, HSBC exited the market.
Without the Chinks, there's nothing to keep the price down anymore. Banks and institutions that continued to short silver, because "we need to short silver, it always goes down" have slept walked into an impending squeeze that could begin at any moment. All it takes is for one or two to panic and cover.

Taco taco
>>60609154My IP changed. I don't think Trump will necessarily chicken out this time, I think he will stand his ground, to spite all of the people saying TACO.
Rather, I think the market has gotten used to the tariffs, even sees the benefits to them. It's no longer as afraid. Why? What has changed.
Tariff talks back in April caused foreign countries to sell their US treasuries. And they're still selling them now. However there are two things that will act as a sink for US treasuries that are about to happen. Stablecoin GENIUS act gets signed next week and the US Fed is deregulating the amount that banks need to have in reserve, freeing up that liquidity for use in US treasuries. Stablecoin payment rails companies like CRCL or PYPL primarily hold US treasuries and commercial paper, that's what gives the stablecoin value.
Yesterday, a bunch of Fed spokespeople said they're ready for rate cuts in a month or two. They know US treasury yields are going to come down because of this and therefore can lower rates.
>>60609009I'm long term only. I am not selling to not have to file taxes. I am thinking in terms of next 5 years.
>>60609065What etf's in particular? What companies in particular as constituents? I don't think defense companies are a very good long terms investment. If you have insider knowledge like some congresswoman you can make a killing but long term it isn't optimal. Maybe I'm wrong idk.
>>60609225i really hope people wont use paypal. its the scammiest piece of shit in the finance industry
>>60609262I would wait on us healthcare specifically because of the current deregulation push.
Compliance will cost a lot of time and money and dereg is bad for the megacaps which is most likely what the etf is heavy in
My entry would be around the midterms as a value play
All my credit spreads are going to blow up. I'm not sure how I am supposed to proceed to lose the least amount of money boss.

everything except crypto, oil and metals is freefalling today
>>60609225>Stablecoin GENIUS act gets signed next weekStopped reading here. Talking about crypto as anything other than a silly pyramid scheme automatically outs you as a retard. Nobody gives a fuck about these ponzi coins in the real world.
>>60609321This
โI think of the time I wasted chasing runs which already begun and my port aches. Life is a slurp, slurping is happiness. Every moment can be an eternity of slurpingโ - Dostoevsky IIRC
>>60609345Say what you want, Powell even stated he was looking forward to the act passing the other week during his congressional testimony, because it would mean $4 trillion in US treasury purchases.
>>60609351I slurp, therefore I am.
>>60609358Any short term increase in purchases of treasuries will be balanced out by sales when the pyramid scheme collapses. These coins serve no purpose and solve no real problems (inb4 muh efficiency gains) and will collapse when there are no greater fools to be found.
its happening! americans are finally too broke to slurp the dip.
>>60608991We have similar strategies, however i think you should either kick the s&p and instead go for another sector etf, or go all in the s&p, having such a broad index plus indexes already sharing the same type of risk is kind of useless
>>60609345Also the stablecoins that are about to hit the market are not the pajeet scams of the past. MA, VISA, CRCL, FI, PYPL, etc. are all leading participants. Stablecoins will be replacing credit cards and will be marketed to vendors and customers the same way.
>>60609376come back in an hour. lets see about that
>>60609381fuck off with the poopal shilling. they suck and steal peoples money and have absolutely no reason to still be around in the current year
The Canadians are selling their equities so they can pay the tariffs. Blame those fucking leafs for buying into our markets when they had no business taking part in the American dream boss.
>>60609328Here's a tip: don't do spy credit spreads. Do spx. If you get assigned on spy you are gonna get fucked.
>>60609381Nigger, modern financial systems are already digital. Do you think banks move around pallets of cash all day? No, code running on their servers decreases a number representing the money in one account and increases the number of another account by the same amount. Finance was solved some time ago and tranactions are essentially instant and free. The percentage that companies like Visa and Mastercard are able to skim off the top are just because they have no competitors, meaning they can take advantage and jew people. Watch their profit margins shrink the moment some competition appears.
>>60609381>Stablecoins will be replacing credit cardsnah, normal people don't want immutability
>>60609397Why would I ever get assigned? There's so much liquidity in these things, who the fuck would do such a thing.

>>60609578What if Trump isn't actually going to back down this time? What if the first time he backed down he did it as a sign of good faith, so that countries could come to the negotiating table, but what if that was like the final warning, and now all the tariffs are actually here to stay boss?

>>60609600Or what if Trump is just a maniac psychopath who does this so he can benefit? Ever thought of that?
>>60609578>>60609600Like if the head cuck of The Peoples Republic of Canada takes his letter and wipes his ass with it instead of giving his attention to the matter like Trump had asked, they could end up getting bombed, like when Iran didn't come to the table after Trump had asked for their attention boss.
>>60609600>What if the first time he backed down he did it as a sign of good faith, so that countries could come to the negotiating tablethe whole thing is a fucking bluff because Trump doesn't even have the legal authority to impose tariffs using the methods he's been trying to. this stuff is getting challenged in court immediately
I know this is probably wrong place to ask (cause you guys are just gamblers), but what is going on with solar bullshit stocks? Why are they being pumped, while the companies they're governed by are living dead? I don't understand it. I made quick buck on Sunrun, but I'm afraid to go in at the price it's currently at and just before the finances report
>>60609600>What if Trump isn't actually going to back down this time?Of course he isn't retard, he won. Tariffs are good, we are entering the golden bull run

>>60609600Then he'll ruin the global economy and republicans will be completely destroyed in next year's midterms. Trump cares a lot about his legacy and he wants people to remember him as a great president. Look at the NVDA pump. Wasn't Jensen yesterday or today in the White House? Is Trump going to hand out GPU to China?
Do you think old P/E ratios are simply a thing of the past and this is the "new normal"?
If yes, then how high can it go before people reconsider putting money into the stock market?
If not, then do you realize how far we'd have to crash to get back to normal? 2008 would not be enough

>>60609833Realistically, I think you'll have a hard time finding people willing to wait for the bottom of a 20 - 30 year P/E ratio cycle before they start buying stocks

also wtf silver is still climbing
>>60608554what is the next meme stock?
>>60609875I bought some SLV calls for August. Lets squeeze this bitch and end the F. E. & D. boss.
>>60609833Actually, thinking about it a little more - my wager is that you'll have a hard time finding people who actually know what a P/E ratio. Even among stock owners, I'd wager the majority does not understand the concept. Among the minority that understand, an even smaller minority actually cares & pays attention to it
>>60609867When the crash comes, people will lose their jobs and be forced to sell.
>>60609833New normal in the age of robinhood. Companies don't pay dividends anyway so nobody gives a shit what the earnings are. It will stay like this until the day humanity believes infinite economic growth is no longer needed, at which point stock growth will stop being the focus and companies actually would pay dividends.
>>60609899Exactly this. Robinhood normies don't know what a P/E ratio is, what earnings are, or even how to look up earnings. Or any other fundamental for that matter.
This whole financial system is so fuckin retarded, I'm contemplating becoming a cryptobro.
>>60609899its irrelevant wizardry. pe does not mean that the company is injecting value in the stock, only dividend and buyback stock correlate with the business that way. the rest are just ponzis that go up as long as a greater fool comes after you
>>60609867Yes but if you take the P/E ratio out of the equation, the only sources of return are dividends (how much is the yield now, 1.2%?) and earnings growth which is slowing.
How many people are happy with like 5% annual nominal returns when inflation is 3%?
Unless the P/E ratio keeps climbing, people will lose interest in stock market returns pretty quickly.
Even if you assume elevated P/E ratios are normal because of the popularity of passive index funds, that popularity might be in trouble.
I could be wrong and the P/E ratio could keep climbing endlessly and people will keep buying endlessly, but I feel that the higher it goes, the more resistance there will be.
>>60609836because fuck us thats why
>>60609833Palantir's PE ratio is single handedly adding like 10 points to that.

>>60609833Tech companies have higher than average p/e as a baseline because of their potential market expansion and they are increasing larger % of the index
I think in a way it is a new normal and the return to the mean is a bit of an arbitrary arguement. We would need to see a complete reversal of globalism and the internet connectivity to return to the old potential market sizes and that just dors t seem very realistic or likely
>>60609833exponential technological growth
>>60609909I think crypto's even more retarded, or maybe I'm too much of a boomer for it desu

>>60609941just bought back the doge bags. fucker went up even more while i looked away and refused to move at all the days i held it
>>60609932tech companies only have higher p/e because of higher expected growth. How much of that growth actually materializes though? GDP is still only around 3% annually. Also globalism has been reversing yet prices are going even higher. The only real explanation is speculation and growing bubble.
>>60609953For individual stocks it might be less relevant if they are growing fast. For many years Amazon was basically making no money whatsoever but it was growing rapidly. It's fine to have a shitty P/E ratio if that's the case.
But for the stock market as a whole to have such a high P/E ratio I think is a warning sign.
>>60609941You need to accept that the old world of logic, reasoning & order is dead and gone. This is idiocracy now, PE doesn't matter, Debt doesn't matter, its literally a vibes based speculative economy. The GTA V stock market mini game makes more sense than the IRL markets.
Once you stop fighting this because you know it shouldn't be so, accept that the market makers are even more retarded than you and start investing as though you were a massive hype driven retard yourself, you will become more profitable than you could ever imagine.
Crypto is the cocaine of this retarded make believe market. It is a Wild West of scamming and no regulations whatsoever that stays open 24/7 365 days a year. It has 0 value and is the metaphysical manifestation of greater fool theory. Once you accept this, ape into ETH & BTC and Chainlink and remember this post in 10 years when you are on vacation from gainz while the world burns. (Metaphorically as climate change is a scam).
>>60609966watch that tom lee video. the median s&p has gone down over the last 5 years, and the ones with highest p/e have very high growth rates. the market is cheap. shiller p/e is a blunt tool.

The United States has a significantly larger national debt than the Eurozone, both in absolute terms and as a percentage of their respective economies (GDP). The US national debt is over $36 trillion, while the Eurozone's total debt is around โฌ13 trillion. The US debt-to-GDP ratio is approximately 122%, exceeding the Eurozone's 87%.

>The JPMorgan Chase boss also told the event that there was โcomplacency in the marketsโ around U.S. tariffs and rates.>Dimon said he saw a 40-50% chance that the Federal Reserve would need to raise interest rates to tackle inflation, against market pricing of around a 20% chance.
>>60610023The US is finished. It lasted 30 years longer than the soviets. The tariffs are the end of the dollar as a reserve.
Eurozone ECB rates peaked in Sept 2024 at 3.5%
Since then there have been 8 consecutive rate cuts and now it's 2%.
Meanwhile, the German 30 year yield doesn't care.
Maybe a sign of things to come for the US?
Looking at this chart makes me think that there is no amount of rate cuts the Fed can do if tresury yields climb above unsustainable levels (around 6%). They will need to print money and buy them directly.
