I use a credit card for everything and always pay it on time so I never pay interest, but get between 1-5% back in direct cash rewards. Meanwhile debit card and cash users like yourself pay the general increase in prices that is baked into all goods regardless of payment method because of the processing fees a store needs to absorb to accept debt/credit cards. I have a mortgage from 2013 so I do pay interest but my payment is less than half the rent for a comparable house
