At 31 khv I finally have a steady enough income to be able to DCA into investments.
Would like to get some market exposure, but my risk tolerance isn't that high since I'm still pretty broke.
I have 5k saved for emergencies in an hysa, no CC debt.
My budget is $1500 per month saved.
Plan so far is this
>1k in HYSA - safe while allowing for some growth
>$200 SCHD in Roth IRA
>$100 SCHD in regular account
>$100 VOO in regular account
>$100 in bitcoin
I have never bought crypto before though, since I'm not really buying much, is using fidelity ok for this?
Here is a lust provoking image for your troubles

Because of the lust provoking image ill just say this. Fuck all the shit you said, European weapons manufacturing is where its at, and the sector will stay a safe practically guaranteed moneymaker for the next 10 years at least.

Just buy ARKB in your brokerage account. It's just one of the other eight Bitcoin ETFs, run by Cathie Wood, and has a lower expense ratio than any of the other big ones. I think there's one tiny one that has a lower expense ratio, but I don't know anything about the company running it.

Crypto will be crashing by the end of the year. You could put money in and sell by then but not sure if it’s worth the risk of trying to time the top since your $100 a month will just turn to $120 if you’re lucky. Unless you’re okay with being down on your BTC for a few years and missing out on gains I’d just put everything in VOO and wait for the crypto bear market bottom in a year or two to start DCAing into btc

I agree the sentiment is too positive around btc right now.
$100 isn't a lot to some but thats like a months worth of food, so it would be wasteful to lose 20% of it to the market jews. I might hold off on btc for now

Just do voo over schd

Using current figures if you actually stick to it for 30 years voo will have almost double schd's return. This includes reinvested dividends

Past 10y voo 13.46%, schd 11.26%
100$ after 30y at 13.46% is 4418$
100$ after 30y at 11.26% is 2455$

Kek I started out exactly like you, similar amount of investment per month at 30 yo, but now I only invest half of that, because I invest the other half in myself to be able to attract women.
