ai dashcams, the $10 million private placement news last night was bullish but it seems some people were scared off by the stock offering, massive volume and great price action today :DDDDD it was pure luck but it worked out buying back in instead of trimming my position to scale out, already had my cost basis out but i bought back in so i can keep myself under tension, enough in this shit to ruin myself when i could have had enough to become rich slowly with boglehead investing.
i'll scale out closer to $2 instead, 200 million market cap feels a bit more reasonable

great example of why knowledge is power!!!! price discovery is still possible, the majority of the market are still fucking IDIOTS including myself.
stock offerings dilute the stock, but if a company is doing a stock offering when they have a good balance sheet (no debt, no cashburn, management treats their shares like gold so no dilution in past 5 years either) then it's bullish as fuck, never mind that ai dashcams was just 40 cents a few months ago so this is cementing a new floor above $1. I think ppl generally panic when they see a stock offering, and that's true when a company is doing it just to pay their rent, but different context mean different things

they netted the $30 million Long Island contract while they were a ~80 million market cap, so I'm going to guess they really needed to get some more cash on the balance sheet before they can sign another $30 million market cap. But it really is starting to come to them so easily, they increased their financing too, now that they're a >100 million market cap, transits/trains are probably less scared about giving them $xx million contracts

if they already have 25% of the schoolbus market + the mandate in canada for the ~50k schooolbuses here to be equipped with cameras (like the ones where you can see a 360 vision, thats one of the features ai dashcams provide, never mind adding revenue from stop arm tickets to pay for the ai dashcams), then it's hitting a ~CAD$160m average annual revenues eventually with that market share they have their grip on already, US market has been way more proactive with adopting the technology even without a mandate, i'm only expecting to hold on until 2027 but it'll start to get priced in now since the data is all there to project those revenues (recent contracts citing ~US$3K per schoolbus in equipment, 6-10year hardware cycles, ~US$300/year annual subscriptions for the ai data services, etc)

160m million annual revenues so it feels a bit premature to scale out until it's at 200m market cap.
the public transit market hit a huge inflection point this year since this tiny canadian company somehow has the #1 biggest transit (MTA in New York, though only the Long Island for now), #3 biggest transit (TTC in Toronto), and #5 biggest transit (SEPTA in Pennsylvania) as customers now

TCNNF Trulieve Cannabis looks really tasty right here just got a 8% drop today on no news. At some point we'll get a cannabis friendly FDA Chief and he will switch it to Schedule 3, this means 2024 prices basically guaranteed (300%). Very low risk at these levels. Also all time high on this is a 1000%.

TLRY is very tempting though but its scary overpriced and could drop 40% with the bank news that just came out. Too risky. Trulieve is just down 25% at its all time low.

I hate how correlated the rest of the world is to US equities. All I want is to buy stocks of good companies at fair prices without having to deal with the overpriced clown show that is the United States stock market today. Is that really too much to ask?

GSI.V was basically the rare unicorn that was publicly trading already at a decent value. Normally (and a lot of its competitors are) this kind of company would be privately owned until it gets IPO'd at like 500 million market cap maybe more, for the early shareholders to cash out on retail suckers
This was available at 50 million market cap when their revenue was already reaching towards profitable $35+ million annual revenues, PEG was well below 1 (PE ratio was hovering around 10-20 with CAGR of +30% for a couple years before spending on expanding hiked up)

Ultimately I only own ~0.4% of the company so if I was patient and slowly scaled out, it was reasonable to hold a big position granted that it's an actual business with actual cash rushing in, it's prob just a big shift in thinking for retail shareholders like us who normally dont have to worry bout that (i.e. institutions having to take weeks to enter or exit a position LMAO)
theyve shown themselves capable of scaling up very fast, over +50% CAGR at times

I have used them for options hedging, esp. AH when I cant adjust my position until market open. It's nice to trade higher leverage outside of market hours w/o using margin.

I am considering incorporating it in my options strategies by selling straddles, then buying equal weight & sums from SPXS and SSO. Yes and no. A delta of 100 is equal to 100 shares. This is achieved by a call being deep ITM (in the money). That is, the strike is like $20 with a share price of $45. LEAPs are basically options with >1 year expiry time.
