>>60638764You don't understand what you're talking about. A gwei is a unit of ETH. A gwei could never be worth $1000, because that would mean 1 ETH is worth 1000 * 10^9 USD.
The USD cost of the transaction fee is independent of the price of ETH. As the price of ETH goes up, the amount of gwei you must pay for the transaction fee goes down such that the USD cost of a transaction remains the same, all else being equal. The USD cost of the transaction fee only moves up and down based on the supply and demand of block space.
