If moving overseas, how does one transport his seed phrase through the airport/checkpoints without it becoming compromised? This is in a scenario where it's already stamped on a metal plate which cannot easily be destroyed.

Write down half your seed phrase and put it somewhere your parents have access to. Bring the other half with you. Simple as

If you do business at a KYC crypto exchange, your home country has the capacity to know your income from said exchange and even mandate that you pay tax owing from said transactions. What do you think happens when crypto traders get audited for not paying tax? This is how the regulatory system works. If you declare it, they can't try and take it after you leave.

I have a hardware wallet. The phrase on the metal plate is derived from the wallet.
