XRP is appealing to normies because it costs like 3 and a half dollars each.
That's why.

Because normies don't understand shit from fuck about anything money related.

XRP isn't a bad project at all, but it's too centralized for my taste.

Normies don't even understand what "centralized" is, haha.
3 and a half dollars each + being popular + line go up is unironically why they buy it

they look at bitcoin and go "120k???? i cant afford that!"

maybe you're the retard for not putting something into a coin that has institutional backing and is guaranteed to give you a return on your investment
smart people don't go around gambling all of their money on memecoins hoping for a 1000x because they're perpetually salty they missed out on BTC.
you're not gonna be the guy that turned $2 into $2 million, or even the guy that turned $2,000 into $2 million. you could easily turn $2000 into $20,000 but you're too stupid and greedy.

Xrp is extremely decentralized, it's just ripple has a big bag of it, but that could be voted to be burned by the decentralized node holders, yet they don't because ripple is doing a good job
Anonymous (ID: v10vrWWa) No.60649474 >>60649516
>>60647957
Anyone valuing "institutional backing" in regards to a cryptocurrency market has so fundamentally misunderstood the technology that they may as well be gambling.

If ripple succeeds, crypto fails. If crypto succeeds, ripple fails.

It is a binary choice, if you don't believe in crypto, why would you buy into the "crypto" that is backed by the government/financial industry that cryptocurrency is intended to disrupt through decentralization? It is not sustainable long term because there is no real vision behind XRP other than a desperate attempt by the current elite banking institutions to co-opt web3 with their own ' "decentralized" solution'.

As soon as there's no competition via ethereum/bitcoin XRP would inherently fail and stop being adopted because it merely exists as an antagonistic force to actually innovative ideas.

XRP is not "extremely" decentralized. It works based off a white-list of approved nodes that must be signed off on by the XRP foundation.

Sure... you can run your own nodes but unless youre on that default white list your node will not be used for verifying transactions. Could you make a custom trust list? sure ... but it's worthless unless others manually configure it to be used. The end result is only banks and other financial institutions nodes are on the default trust list.

it's pointless and a clear attempt to trick people from adopting cryptocurrency that actually disrupts the status quo.

While the intended purpose of crypto was to decentralize traditional institutions, that doesn't mean that idea can't evolve alongside that. You're stuck in the past.
>desperate attempt by the current elite banking institutions to co-opt web3 with their own ' "decentralized" solution'.
OK Che Guevara, settle down. The whole point of Ripple is it is being used as a vehicle to introduce a new international currency that most of the Western world governments desperately want to adopt because they hate the poors having cold hard cash because there's no tax in it. However adopting it would open up a whole new world of crime in and of itself, since Im sure anyone who is good at touching computers can easily play with the numbers to misappropriate funds, hide paper trails, launder money, and a million other things people already do in the current system. Except now it'll be even easier, because the regulatory bodies designed to catch shit like that are filled with dinosaurs who still use fax machines to communicate and audit.

You just forgot that the elite banking institutions are filled to the brim with swindlers and white collar criminals that are just really good at rebranding their crimes under a mountain of corporate jargon. If you cant see that, I cant help you.

People really thinks that greedy jews are going to let you use BTC to trade freely, the only thing you can use in that way is Monero. Otherwise XRP/RLUSD being the tokenization of western money is naturally moving forward with the utility, same as nakamoto intended with BTC.
These faggots just want to live in their niches instead of moving 130.000 RLUSD in your phone without no one knowing.
