I'd say it's that the ends justify the means. That's how you get "capitalism" but with 100% control by the State and no individual rights. The CCP just happens to do what's in the best interest of its people, for the most part, but could figuratively slaughter its entire economy overnight if it wanted to. The USA, in theory, could not do that because we believe people have a right to commerce, within reason.

even more capitalist than america (less ip law) but the state owns all banks, gold, land, communication apps etc. basically anything worth owning

Internally its some sort of planned economy that simulates hardcore capitalist competition.
If the state wants something to happen they will pump money into it and their companies will try to outcompete each other which creates that capitalistic pressure. Then when they get what they asked for they let the others die.
Its very forced but also seems to be able to get shit done fast.
Global manufacturing dominance through currency controls.
Local government lending.
Controlling the full high tech stack from base components to final products.
Building influence along the periphery of the “rules based order”.

Yep, that does. I'd also add that they also have this chip on their shoulder due to the Century of Humiliation, so any perceived slight on their end just means they want to retaliate all the time.
Mostly just fraud. They report fake numbers to make their economy appear way stronger than it is and don't let investors sell when economic downturns would naturally happen. If you're asking beyond their financial markets, they're functionally capitalist but claim to be communist so they can meddle with individual businesses. All this stuff runs really deep, look into it

To truly understand the Chinese you need to know the #1 thing driving them as a nation is to eat the most exotic animals in the world in gross and fucked up ways. Their economy is based on access to rare animals to fry in mystery oil and eat with chopsticks.

Almost right, typically domestic innovators that gain traction are allowed to stay profitable but they usually get strong armed to add party members to the board, who almost univerally end up picking the company's pockets.
