Bitcoin doesn't "have" to 10x or 100x when it becomes the world's standard currency. It can easily (and most likely) stay at its current price and function perfect as a currency. You are not "investing" in anything when you buy BTC, you're just speculating AKA gambling. I wouldn't be surprised if it hovers between 100-200k forever.

yeah.
i figured if anything would be good, it would be eth, because it does what btc does but with additional utility. but, i was wrong. btc is worth more.
monero is the only cryptocurrency that is still a cryptocurrency, and even that has issues with turning into fiat. every time i use stuff like paypal and have a transaction delayed for manual review or whatever, it blows me away that people don't use crypto for actual transactions. but no one does. no one buys anything with crypto. the "value" of it is speculative. which sucks because there is actually pretty good utility in being able to send money to someone without having to make an account and take a picture of your face and your ID.
