Just close the fucking markets already so people stop selling boss.
>>60669461This is for the week after, but my WMT store has still be showing YoY growth in gross sales (with the occasional budget miss because home office sets it way too high, like 6%), so I expect we'll have another ER win. Not that WMT swings a lot.
Another one I'm watching is HAS, but I'm not playing it. They just had their Final Fantasy crossover set during this period and it was the best selling Magic set in history. Vendor preorders for their next space set are apparently having issues too. There is a lot of demand for the product and inability to keep up with reprint queues. However, that's just one facet of their business, but I know since the last year, HAS has been reducing their inventories of product over time, so they'll probably have a huge surprise ER win. Might be worth tossing a few bucks at a degenerate long gamble

soxl bros... not like this
>>60669788Yes, although you'd have to have some pretty good rapport with the bank for them to be willing to loan you out money based on what's sort of a gamble. Even one as surefire as "Buy Microsoft while it's down and wait 5 years".
>>60669757Divvieanon, Iโm 34, and intrigued by your allocations. whatโs your rationale for QQQI? I already know what SCHD is. What are you trying to achieve with an equal weight CC whatever the fuck of QQQ stocks?
Also, did anyone make money on OPEN? I made $500
>>60669809What's retarded is, why the fuck would I do that if I just have cash? Like if I have $10,000 cash, why take out the $10,000 loan if I can just lump sum the cash?
>>60669776Have hope for a 10% pump
t bought at .84
>>60669788>>60669809>>60669820You can also hold a PLOC. I have one with a $15k limit that I use maybe twice a year when I'm shuffling stuff around
Bitcoin truly is the new ponzi scheme. Trump media buying 2 billion of btc, microstrategy printing stocks to buy btc.
But since trump bought btc, you now know he will do anything in his power to pump that ponzi scheme even higher
>>60669820I mean if you have the cash you'd have no need for a loan then? I don't even understand why you're asking about loans in the first place then. Yeah if you have $10,000 saved up you can just dump it in whatever you want whenever you want.
>>60669834I guess in general I'm someone who hates debt and I just can't see any way of using margin or debt in a way that doesn't seem incredibly retarded

>>60669850>Do you really think I have any idea what the fuck I'm doing? KekSTOCK MARKET GENERAL
>>60669842Yeah I'm the same. Even if the markets crashed 80% and clearly had the capacity to recover in the next 5 years I wouldn't take out a loan like that. Interest sucks dick and there's always the bizarre off chance that the universe decides to fuck with you and your "surefire plays" end up going bankrupt.
This is a good spread I think, going to focus mainly on spyi.
In other news I can now officially move to a thirdie favella and live off this divvy
>>60669800As a fellow soxl chad, my attention is now on NXDR. But as the other anon said, soxl post and pre market is retarded and goes all over the place. Don't pay too much mind

>>60669861Its like 70/30 index funds

GOOGLIE
>>60669912Thats very good anon
I dont like stocks but its literally easier to make money this way vs owning rental property. Fucking niggershit housing industry
>>60669890Honestly, it's just leverage on basic math.
$100 => $110 is a 10% gain
$110 => $100 is a 9% loss
$100 => 90 is a 10% loss
$90 => $100 is an 11% gain
In other words, losses hurt you more than gains help. Not to mention, you have tracking error and fees on top of that. Think of it as a thermodynamic system - nothing is "free" and fees etc act as friction. As long as you can manage risk, being on the sell side is probably the place to be. Hell, any kind of non-equity ETF behaves like this (currency, commodity, leveraged etfs, etc).
There was a time for about 3 years when letfs were new where people would just arb the market by doing something EOD then closing the position as soon as it opened again
>>60669923conveniently dollar dropped pretty much the amount of gains
>>60669926Roth and taxable yeah
SCHD is always 100% qualified dividends so it's 0% tax
>>60669923The CAPE ratio can't keep going up like this.

I dont qualify for a Roth IRA (gross over 250k) and traditional is for niggerfaggots and I might die before 60
>>60669844turns out when you're at all time highs, it's a lot easier to hit new all time highs. who knew!
>>60669952>>60669844Right? So just have a modest long position and add to it over time, since it's better to ride with the trend. Winners keep winning and losers keep losing, just look at the charts
>>60669883Does that also grow every year or does it stay mostly flat and pay out dividends?
Because a 100% equities portfolio can safely withdraw around 3% per year forever or around 4% for 30 years and it will also grow in almost all scenarios except the absolute worse ones. So what is the point of a dividend portfolio if it doesn't also grow.
>>60669933they work decently with indexes though. they go up so much that you can generally recoup the losses and they overperform overall. but you'd get heemed by a 2008 repeat
>>60669952but dax always giga crashes when it hits ath yet this only goes up so smoothly
>>60669965You buy divvy stocks when they are cheap (like HD once everyone got scared all their customers were going to get deported) and just ride it out
>>60669461>5 stocks I hoooold report this weekI'm in it for the long term but seeing big swings in one week is more than my heart can take.
>futas
>>60669461What happens too SOXL and TQQQ once earnings come? Is that why it's been crabbing for weeks now?
>>60669933checked for the based SQQQ shorter
>>60669942>https://www.multpl.com/shiller-peWe haven't set a new paradigm yet. Also unlike the dot com bubble, Nvidia etc actually make lots of money and will only make more in the future. Not like pets.com etc
>>60669890Nah. It'll be alright.

I would probably put "USDT $1" but I am autistic.
>>60670008You're high anon, soxl hasn't been crabbing, it just hasn't been 5% a day like it was may/first half june.
my $KIND investment is going well so far.
>>60669977So you'd have some kind of hedge, like going "only" 70% into 3x and 30% into bonds, or buying way OTM puts so its mostly negated
Made a cool 5k off NVTS this morning. Ill wait till 6.50 to buy back in again
Not bad p/l for the day. Closed the OPEN puts just in case of a dead cat bounce tomorrow. Surprised to see SBET puts for JAN 2026 be so cheap considering it was at $10 less than a month ago and their upsizing to dilute $5 billion worth of shares
can someone give me the QRD on this NXDR play and tell me if theres any reason i shouldnt buy 100 $4 dec19 calls tomorrow morning?
>>60669688Bought at $16. Holding strong.
Do you guys think that a broad index fund has enough crypto exposure through stock-listed entities that hold crypto and all other aspects (crypto exchanges, miners, chipmakers etc etc).
Or is that not enough and you buy even more crypto on your own?
>>60670128I think every portfolio should have some exposure to crypto. As a technology, blockchain absolutely is the future of finance. Whether it will be decentralized, and what projects will matter is anyone's guess. Like, you'd still want to have some kind of diversity (BTC/ETH as core, stuff with limited supply, oracle capabilities, etc).
Like a boomer 70/30 portfolio should probably have at least 1% allocation to crypto. For a normalfag "aggressive" investor, 5% is probably good long term. For us an active traders, you could go higher.
Right now, I'm very heavy in energy, PMs, and materials for a 5-10 year horizon, with expectations of expansion into AI as data centers and reactors get built. We still have a recession/downturn that will happen, which I expect to occur in 2026 at some point. I'm enjoying the current crypto bull run, but have been taking profits (my $700 portfolio went up to $1100, so I took about 40% into a stablecoin). Actually come to think of it, I only do have about 1% NW into crypto and I really ought to put more in, but after everything went up 20-30% over the last month, I don't want to put more actual money into it yet, maybe later
>>60670022>companies are making lots of money >that's why the PE ratios keep going upAnon you realize you're retarded right?
>>60670162I do 90% equities 10% crypto allocation, and although I rebalance the contents of the 90% part every 6 months, I never rebalance out of crypto. I just allocate 10% into my savings into BTC and never sell.
Problem is it's now grown faster than everything else and it might soon be 20% of my portfolio. I feel that if I sell to rebalance I'll be like the guy who paid 2 gazillion dollars for a pizza one day.
>>60670162That's way too low imo, even the safest pussies should have like 10%
>>60670189Are those real yes or no
im scared af bros, do i sell?
>>60670216AUG 1 IT ALL COMES TRUMPBLING DOWN
>>60669965SCHD has the best CAGR of any dividend etf in existence hence why I hold it for my American income. It'll grow on average 10% per year(conservatively) which means if I do nothing then my $300 a year turns into $5200 per year in 30 years. So it's amazing for someone in their 20s
>>60670220its gonna pump to levels we have never seen before!
It's funny that UNH still can't really figure out what's going on. It's heavily institutionally owned so as a sentiment traded it's not something I'm used to. It's functioning not as a defensive or really in response to tariffs, perhaps it really is just earnings which will move it one way or the other?
>>60669980dax is a europoor index so it does not apply
>>60670056for sure, not something you'd ever want to go all in on
HOODSISTERS we got rejected yet again..

>The ten largest US ports recorded a 7.9% year-over-year drop in inbound container volume in June, marking the second consecutive month of declines following Mayโs 6.6% decrease, according to the latest Container Volume Observer report from industry veteran John McCown.
>McCown reports that inbound volume dropped by 1.8% in Q2 2025, marking a stark contrast with Q1โs 9.6% gain and continuing a downward trajectory following increases of 12.5% in Q4 2024 and 17.6% in Q3 2024.
>The report highlights that total U.S. inbound volume has historically grown at rates exceeding U.S. GDP, often at two or more multiples, and thus the โunusual nature of an actual decline in inbound container volume into the U.S. cannot be overemphasized,โ McCown writes, noting heโs only aware of two other periods of annual declines: during the financial crisis and the pandemic.

>>60670315wow what a rugpull. seems things are pumping on quite low volume these days
>>60670327The S&P500 already holds the big name stocks to a huge degree because it's market cap weighted.
Even a global equities ETF holds the big name tech stocks to a large degree because of how big they are. There's no point buying them individually if you hold the index.
It only makes sense to buy an individual name if it's something relatively small which you think is underrepresented by the index holdings.

I literally missed out on life changing money YET AGAIN by putting in my IPO requests drunk and not checking them before the acquisition date.
>>60670750It just finished pumping for a week straight. Sunday showed no new heatwaves so it dumped hard
Nat gas = electricity
Oil = transportation
>>60670777Kek. I remember seeing Keeta, the Venmo of Crypto, and planning on buying some but then I got drunk instead. This was like May 6th, it doubled and then doubled and doubled again in value right after that.
>drunk trading, not even once!
>>60670750I remember being told it was a widowmaker trade, but if I had bought it in 2023 instead of a random memestock I would have made 6k instead of losing 1600.
I wouldn't call natty gas "easy", but because it depends on the weather you can pull up your weather charts for various parts of the USA a few weeks in advance in the summer to see when the heat will peak. Natty gas is dumping right now because California is Chillafornia right now, so demand for Natgas is projected to drop. Usually demand goes up again in early october because of winter, though KOLD usually wins out.
Anyway I wouldn't randomly buy unless you think you halfway understand the market and feel like gambling. Remember the 300 /biz/tards who rekt themselves back in december 2022 because they thought BOIL had "bottomed out", apparently they didn't understand what a LETF is/does.

just dont be married then??
>>60670809Reminds me of a funny post I saw on
reddit
where some guy was asking stock tips, he turns 36 this year and has 176k invested/saved which I thought was decent. But then he mentioned he's married with 2 kids and I realized all that money is gonna be sucked into a college fund or downpayment for a new house further out in the 'burbs when his local area gets jeeted. As an unmarried guy I can work 60-90 hours a week, trade on my phone like a demon and walk away either losing hundreds or gaining thousands. Can't do that with a wife.
So yeah, never get married.
>>60670822but then how do you deal with the existential crisis of not having kids to cope with the incoming death

>>60670822>As an unmarried guy I can work 60-90 hours a weekI'm 35 with 75k NW and doing a mcjob for 25 hours a week. I manage to invest about $500-600 per month ($200/pay into WMT and another $100 or $200 discretionary). It's all about cost management. My hope is that one day I can work less, maybe not retire. I don't know what I'd rather do to keep busy ... I've had a poor track record for finishing my own projects and my I'm at that age where chronic health issues are slowly clipping in.

So what are all the programmers and tech dudes doing that got laid off recently? They starting any neat companies?
>>60670905I agree with your post but I want to add a little nuance that makes sense to me
If you're long one asset, you're implicitly short another. If you're buying equities, you're shorting the USD balance in your account. This happens with forex, commodities, equities, etc. If the market is going up, that means USD should be getting weaker - if both are strong, that means other currencies are going down. The flow of money and risk is an interesting thing to follow.
And of course with derivatives you can trade more abstract things like time and volatility. So it's not that "line goes up" it's "line goes up in inverse to something else".
>>60670967damn i'm 3x short USD
>>60671003I mean, in a sense you are? And maybe that's not a bad thing, either. Inflation kills the USD value, which is why equities and other dollar-backed assets have been on such a fucking tear upwards since Covid.
I mean maybe 90% of /smg/ won't "make it", but we'll still do a hell of a lot better than poorfags and normalfags that live pay to pay and have no savings or investments period

>>60671090I'm losing so much money
>>60670240Yeah, it's earnings and legislation that move this stock. Earnings will probably be bullish since expectations are so low. Long-term they need to raise premiums as the population ages and gets sicker. That's a big challenge for this company.
Legislation will change when Trump gets out of office.

>>60671665If the market let people make money everyone would be rich. Total and complete collapse incoming.
>>60671522checked. they are until they aren't. IF (big IF) Nextdoor goes on some crazy run like OPENdoor or they get acquired, then I just want more leverage basically.
If I had 20k shares like you I would probably just hold them and sell covered calls against them. but, I only hold 5k shares and around 30 of these. I rolled over my NXDR 12/19/2025 2.00 calls over to the 3/26 2s.
You also have to remember NAV on this stock was like $10 or some shit during their initial uplisting, so it has a bit of room to go.

>>60671693What? I'm not talking about etf decay, I'm saying the USD is shit to hold long term, and that losses mathematically hurt more than wins help. I mentioned tracking error (once) which works both ways.
The only time etf decay hurts is if you're losing or neutral, and it just compounds an already bad trade, and that's much different than being able to trade successfully
I'm not going to diversify anymore. I'd rather dump once than 5 times.
