Why do BTC maxis fear Ethereum so much?
If you mention ETH when talking with a BTC maxi I've seen the most unhinged angry reactions.

Cause they've been selling their BTC for XRP

It is not fear, it is anger. We're comparing a completely decentralized protocol which is the hardest money ever made to a centralized pos that has the creator holding over 50% of the supply. Angry there should even be a comparison in the first place.

Eth maxis do the same about Solana. Sol maxes do the same for SUI, SUI maxes for SEI. And everyone hates XRP.

>It's because they need to convert their Bitcoin to WBTC to earn money in liquidity pools. They don't like doing it, but they can't pass up the income.

Because wBTC has Infinity more utility then native BTC. And their digital gold narrative could be wiped over night by Eth + alts tokenizing Actual real gold, which funnily enough would be cheaper, faster, and more divisible then "Digital gold", you can even buy coffee with it. Pick related is Fees on L2, and yes they are integrating L2s so much that you soon won't even be able to tell you are using a L2.

>And everyone hates XRP.
Only those that fear it hate it. After all its the only coin to take the number one spot. It'll likely do it again at some point if we're being honest.

Doing it with Solana makes more money, as usual. 2.5% for BTC staking

China points Asics to mine on USA pools to keep up the narrative of decentralization. Bitcoin is far from decentralized as it was before Asics took over.

zero btc maxis fear eth
btc has become its own entity at this point nothing can stop it
eth maxis should worry more about sol/hype possibly replacing them
Anonymous (ID: 1iI+ugsS) No.60675671 >>60684564
eth etf inflows > btc etf

btc's only moat is store of value narrative takes a long time for people to believe, but they're starting to believe that applies to eth too

flippening is real

> Lvl2 chains are centralised rubbish, I appreciate the choice, but I feel dirty using them. The offchain work by the Sequencer is centralised, I'm certain of it. Using Lv2 chains is like using Sol, I dislike them.
Anonymous (ID: TPi69KQs) No.60675684
Because they can't get 100 or 1000x's by flipping shitcoins for as cheap as $10
while they need to spend 6figs hoping for a shitty 2x

>I don't mind switching from Eth if something better comes along, it would be a simple transfer. But not to Sol because it runs from one or two centralised machines.

Same applies to BTC maxis. They won't mind swapping if something better comes along. But it turns out, nothing better than BTC has come up yet. Hope you understand now.

Yeah. But you gotta see reality. Most people buy crypto on cex and keep it there too. They will not care about that advantage

the low level plebs hate it because of the "shitcoin shitcoin" spam
the influencers hate it because of the whole bcash fork, in which vitalik took the stance of the "large blockers" because "transactions costing 30 cents is kinda ridiculous" (LMAO)
that culminated on the "congrats on this, seriously" which marked the absolute top of bcash (#2 coin at that point)
maxis realized that there was a way to protect themselves from a replay attack while dumping their forked coins, so bcash evaporated

nowdays, ethereum has gotten humbled, due to multiple things
btc maxis have stayed irrelevant, even on btc land they're mocked and scorned by the actual devs (wallet layer lords)
the largest btc app remains being the samourai whirlpool, which humiliates state channels (LN) on the daily, even with the devs arrested
Anonymous (ID: rjU5/Orr) No.60682738
>>60682726
Good analysis to a point
It is a generally hateable currency
Nonetheless, it must and will go up. It is another backbone of the coming structures
Anonymous (ID: MQiJHQ9W) No.60682740
so TL;DR:

>maxis from both camps remain irrelevant, twitter spamming LARPers
>bcash died, craig wrestles with grok while drunk
>people from both camps realize that you can't scale using larger blocks or state channels, realize rollups and drivechains are probably enough
>privacy still remains unsolved for both
Anonymous (ID: MQiJHQ9W) No.60682746
ah, and:

>both chains have state of the art mixers (tornado/ samourai)
>both btc and eth have their devs being persecuted at the same time for this

nothing to do with what I'm talking about, kid
anyone that doesn't have bitcoin is financially illiterate
btc maxis are irrelevant in the context of their own chain, their opinion on technical matters are utterly irrelevant
CTV, CSFS, BIP 9, BIP8, BIP300 + 301, nostr, dojo, zerolink
maxis are irrelevant because they baghold on binance and think they're "using bitcoin"
