I make about 400$ a month. Live on food donations, help from parents for utilities. Things are tight but manageable. Live in a leaky camper with bug infestations. Still less stressful than the fortune 50 corporate job I quit years ago. Savings ran out about 3 years ago. It's actually amazing how much bullshit you think you have to have but you don't really need. I'm more content right now than I have been in a long time. Currently building a stone house on my family property in the woods. Only thing I wish I had more of is beer money.

Arent u supposed to build up a big investment fund with ur high end fortune 50 job before you quit, like 2-4 million, so u can at least earn 5-10% on that 2-4 million and live on that, basically never paying taxes either because youre always below the tax limit thing

I ran through my savings quickly trying to help my mother get by when she was diagnosed with alzheimers. Then my pops got sick from all the stress and I had to help him too. I probably spent 90% of my savings helping others. Then I got sick and nearly died and that drained everything that was left. Credit maxed out. Nothing left. It goes fast. I was never good with finance honestly. Probably could have been more ruthless. I bought my best friend a car when his broke down. Some people would say it's a waste to do such but I knew he needed it badly. He didn't ask I just did it. Knew he couldn't afford it. Lots of stuff like that I wouldn't change.

i live within my means. i spend 65pc of my income on rent, so i dont own a car. i dont eat out either. i cook my own food, typically spaghetti in butter. ill make a nice aglio e olio if im feeling particularly rich. if i want meat, i splurge on a Banquet entre. i pirate all my entertainment, and never go to shows, concerts, etc. i also never go out, i have no friends, and no gf to waste my money.

it is what it is.

I don't do it, I'm retarded as fuck
Besides spending almost every day flipping burgers, when I get lucky with some shitcoin I end up fucking it up somehow
The last time I got lucky was with shima and I ended up using all the profits to buy a Switch 2 and a Roomba, which I ended up nicknaming โ€œfloor sucking slutโ€
Sometimes when that little shit cleans I imagine it as an anime maid girl doing her job with a happy face, now I can't look at it without getting a boner

I recently went to the store.
They didn't have any meat. They removed it from sale.
I got angry and made a scene. They told me to live in the forest if I didn't like society.
I said okay and sat in a tree with a spear for a week waiting for food.
After I had killed the deer normie faggots from the city came up, started crying for the fucking deer and called the police on me. They jailed me for loitering and poaching.
The jail doesn't have any fucking meat! They only have tofu, so I am planning on eating one of the police dogs.
Fuck normie faggots.

Basically living a mimic of life. Room is an apartment or house rental shared with 2-5 other people. One's space is usually a room consisting of a bed, TV and computer and clothes. Maybe there's a dedicated bathroom, maybe not. Expenses are rent, utilities (place will be minimally cooled or heated to lower electric costs), very basic grocery staples or garbage processed food and the very occasional night out at a modest restaurant or delivery pizza.

This leaves just a sliver of money for savings, unexpected expenses, or any nonessential expenses. You can have a basic gym membership, a couple bucks for booze, some videogames but that's basically it.

There's a huge drive and desire for escapism, either through videogames, streaming or following celebrities.

At these levels or just above you see faggoty hipster enthusiasts who try to make "thing" their hobby on a shoestring budget. Maybe it's shaving like an old timer, becoming enthusiast of basic product (hot sauce, sardines, idk)

I am in a very similar situation and history as the previous finance anon who lives in the camper. I tried working as a retail clerk at tractor supply. It pays $12.50/hr, before taxes. After phone bill, property taxes, electric, I wasn't able to afford gas to get to work, or food to sustain myself during the shift, with this income. I was actually losing more money by working there. The management is also very abusive. These retail jobs are really meant as supplemental income for students, seniors, and the disabled, who have other sources of income. I left and got food stamps ($291/mo) and lived off savings and farming income.

Making $5k a month or close to it is not poor
You could make it with that salary with sensible lifestyle choices and investments
I pay $750 for rent in safe LCOL area and just left a job earning $24/hour
What really makes one poor is the conditioning to consoom, regardless of income
